Do you know if it's faster to have the documents delivered to your address or to a local depot?

I can't say for sure but I don't think it's going to make much of a difference, the embassy emailed me early afternoon telling me they released the visa to the courier, and the next day I received it in the post, then again I am in Greater London so it's not too far from their depot, might take an extra day or two if you're over the other side of the country.

It is the same. When you get the email about delivery, you collect at home or a Depot the next day.  That goes for most places, not just London deliveries. The exception would be an extremely remote area, in which case there wouldn't be a depot handy either.

I believe you have to show ID to receive it the package. Good luck at the interview. I just booked my flight to London, ours is 5 days after yours.

Somebody has to receive it and sign for it, but it doesn't have to be you. They say the person receiving needs ID from you like a credit card or utility bill. However, many reports on here say the driver didn't bother to ask for ID. That includes me. He just handed it to my fiancé and told her to sign. Varies by driver I guess.

You can also pick "home delivery" to any address, like work for example. It does not have to be delivered to the address the embassy has on record for you. The delivery is strictly between you and the courier. They package it up and address it based on what you put when you sign up with them.

Hello Everyone,

How quickly after you received approval from the embassy in the UK did you receive your Visa packet?

Thanks,

Jeff

So wondering myself how long packets are taking to get delivered or picked up lately. How long did yours take? Thanks!

Our interview is on the 15 of August but we will post as soon as we receive it. Getting super excited. I fly out to meet my fiancé in 13 days 😍.
