After NOA2 whats next

So I am only 43  days into the wait. I have the worst anxiety when I don't know whats coming next. I do know that based on my timeline I should be getting my NOA2in early December. What are the next steps after this. I wait for a case number from the NVC? Then with that case number I can schedule the medical and actual interview. I have been reading that it's taking two months to even get a number is that true? I am also confused about the packets ( packets 3 and 4 ) I have asked people and I keep getting conflicting information. So any clarification would help.  Is there anything I should be doing in the meantime. I have about 90 days until I see my fiancé again. I have made copes of the whole i129f packet and I have added new boarding passes and passport stamps plus new pictures.

Thanks Everyone. We are keeping busy, I just get so worried. Beneficiary is from the Dominican Republic

We sent our petitions in around the same time. I'm 45 days into the wait ...sent to the Texas service center. Only thing is I sent I-130 not I-129. Although, your timeline is saying the same as mine, petition may be adjudicated between mid Nov-Early Dec. I'm confused about all the different packages as well but someone posted this,http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process I bookmarked it as I'm sure it will be helpfu to me in (hopefully near) future. It might help you.

Also, the May 2018 filers thread is here (we're a 5/25 received date, 5/31 notice date):

Not much activity right now since we're all in the early part of NOA1-NOA2 lull, but feel free to drop and say hi.
