HI

Has anyone had any experience making the move across the border to the States and taking their RV? We have the compliance letters for our pickup truck but have no idea if we have to get some kind of letter for the 5th wheel, and/ or if we'll get charged duty. There doesn't seem to be any info online at customs websites about moving permanently with an RV - just for tourists bringing one in temporarily.

I would call the POE you intend to use and ask to speak to a customs officer there. Explain your situation and ask them what they expect from you to import your RV. Good luck.
