Police cert wrong, did not include middle name. Now have to mail a new one to the Dublin embassy

Hey there,  

We need some info quick!  

 

We just had our interview and we didn't get approved yet. The Garda didn't put my fiance's middle name on his cert.  They said we needed to get  a new one and then mail the new on and his passport back.  We plan to do that either today or Monday.  How long does it take for them to issue a visa after that is completed? 

 

Any info is appreciated.

Im sorry I dont know myself as i havent got to the interview yet, I just wanted to ask if you dont mind, does your fiance have his middle name in his passport? Just asking cos my middle names not on mine either cos its not on my passport so now im a bit worried...

If it's not on the passport then that is okay.  The passport just has to match the police cert

Yeah i had to get a new one, but luckily i got a nice one that issued it to me immediately how long after sending it to the embassy did you hear anything back from them??

Well we sent it on a Monday.  They received it on the Tuesday and then the visa went to issued on the Wednesday and we got the visa in hand that Friday.

Oh thats fantastic! Did you send it in through the dpd courier they supply or did you use someone else?

Nope.  we just sent it as registered an post 🙂

Hey people if ye are still about were did ye send of for your police certs I hope I did it right I went to the garda station filled out a form and they siad the supertended will send it off I left a side note explaining to put my full passport name as it has my middle name on it will it come back with my name middle name and surname I gave them copy of my passport to with my full name on it thanks any advice welcome

We just went to the Garda station as well.  But be on them because they sometimes don't do it.....
