I hope you get the interview date soon

Thanks! I really hope to get at least a DATE, I need it so I could figure out the traveling.  It’s devastating that my precious ideal plan to visit my family and friends this summer is blowing up because of this(( But, well, what can I do? Nothing... I’ll visit them in fall then. Hope my grandma would be able to hang on to see me one more time!(

Also, 30 000 pending cases? Srsly? Why don’t they somehow relocate some of them, like, I guess, Brooklyn office did? Dang you Manhattan!:-/

The implications of these delays on the lives of people are indeed very real. I share your pain.

Here are the official quarterly stats: you will see that as of Dec 31, 2018, the Manhattan office had 30,000 cases pending a final decision. It only processed 6,000 cases in the last quarter of 2018 - that's a rate of about 24,000 cases a year. So from that you can work out that the wait-time of someone new entering the waiting line would be about 15 months. Horrendous.

So today my estimated completion time went from June 2019 to October 2019... 4 more months!!. Did anybody else notice a change today in your estimated times?. I filled August 30th 2018, NYC field office.

Yes, it happened to everyone. Probably related to a review of processing rates for Q1 of 2019. And because NYC (Manhattan) has a massive backlog, no doubt this blowing out wait times. Meanwhile in other parts of the USA, people apply and are citizens within a few months. It's a very unfair system that is in operation and yet no-one (politically) seems to have any interest in correcting the injustice. Basically, where one resides determines whether or not the process is over in a few months or 1-2 years.

I know... it’s pretty frustrating having your life on hold because of the USCIS.

Yes I have the “we are taking longer than expected” message and my estimated completion time is June 2019 (1 month)

I also feel like my life is now on hold - well actually it feels more like some type of "sentence" - having to "do time" in order to earn the liberty of a damn interview!

I’m in NYC, my estimated case completion time is also in June 2019.

My estimate wait time was 0 days on this past Thursday, but then it was changed to “We are taking longer than expected...”.

I was reading the Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan thread on visajourney, two people there applied August 6th and 8th and just recently got their interview letters for beginning of June. I applied August 22nd, so I am hoping to get my interview letter any time soon.

Where the 2 you mentioned who got interviews from Manhattan? Or Queens & Brooklyn? Seems like people in Queens are faring better than the rest of NYC at present.

This is really sad. I filed July 2018 and was only left with 2month but only to check my status and discovered it's now moved to Feb 2020. An additional 8month. Can't believe this so sad.

That’s horrible - your pain is understandable! Which field office?

hello is someone from Miami field office has had any update, movement in their case?

I have completed fingerprints on 8/30/18, and nothing since then.

completion says January 2020, so by then will be finished, ( oath ceremony done) or in line for interview?

why is it moving so slow?

thanks

I dont think there is anyone I can recall on here that's from Miami Office, I live in Broward but they sent mine to the Hialeah location and I applied 8/31. But there was someone from the Kendall office which is supposed to be the slowest that applied 8/19 and got an interview on 11/30 and was done by 1/11 or 1/25 one of the other which was super fast.

I have pending I-751 and pending N-400. And both be adjudicated at same time.

My estimated time is July 2019 for both I-751 and N-400.

I applied N-400 on July 2018.

My question is : You also have pending I-751 or You have the GC and you apply only for naturalization ?

Thanks in advance.
