yes, I applied on marriage

 

I had 6 question, 1 read, 1 write

1- what did the Emancipation Proclamation do?

2- Who is in charge of the executive branch?

3-We elect a U.S. Senator for how many years?

4-Under our Constitution, some powers belong to the federal government. What is one power of the federal government?

5- What major event happened on September 11, 2001, in the United States?

6- Name of three national U.S. holidays

 

then, read 1 sentence, write 1 sentence

then, ask around 10 more questions to confirm information in N400

 

total 10 minutes, super fast.

Hello, is anyone here waiting news form Miami ,fl field office? 

I did my bio metrics 8/30/18 and haven't heard anything, my completion timeline, shows january 2020, 9 months, but not sure which one is it, since Im already at my almost 9 months mark, with no update, 

 

Also that office is showing a very long and different processing time to up to 27.5 months, so any input as whats happening will be appreciate.

Not in Miami, but it's 9 months from today (April 2019 + 9 months = Jan 2020)

Timelines vary widely depending on office workload, so not abnormal.

Yes, we are in Miami too. We did biometrics back in August 2018. When we spoke with them they said, it might be a little quicker but since then the times have increased. We have the same date of January 2020. Based on my research of other cases, although there are not that many, I kind of expect around October or November we might get an interview. All the offices in the cities are getting backed up. Basically, the new administration is changing how intensely the cases are vetted and interviewing more cases, which means that the lines will get longer and longer given a finite number of resources. Unless they were to increase the fees and hire more people. But even that would take a lot of time for training, etc. Not much you can do but wait.

I am not in Miami but am in Hialeah office and I applied also in August and did bio around September 5th still waiting says 4 months and September 2019 completion. So let's see... but we had a remember on here from Miami Office who had an interview about 2 months ago if am correct also applied in August.

he asked a couple of others that I can’t remember. He went on to verify all my document. I did not put a speeding ticket from before and  mentioned it to him. He added it and said thanks for being honest about it. He then said I was approved. He won’t be able to schedule me today for naturalization since the Omaha office does same day because he had to go in and approve the i751. But he send the oat ceremony date in the mail. It’s been a long journey and it’s great to be coming to and end. That you all who post has helped me with information I need and I hope this helps someone else

All,  I had my interview at Newark NJ, its was pretty quick in and out in 10 minutes. Had the oath ceremony same day,  wife and I are now United States Citizens. Thanks to everyone on visa journey.

 

It took a total of 19 years from when I first landed here to citizenship. Super excited on being a citizen now.

I finally got a notice that my interview was scheduled. The document hasn't shown up in my account yet, but hoping it's soon. My estimate for case completion is still August 2019 though. Hoping that'll move up after the interview!
