This issue seems to be resolved now. I can see my expected wait time restored.

Hi,

i’ve been going through this forum while waiting for my interview.

below is my timeline Incase it helps folks figure their timeline.

I Filed for N400(with a pending I-751) on Aug16th 2018 in New Jersey. Received biometrics appointment letter on Aug 17th for Sep 4th 2018.

Rescheduled my biometrics appointment  to Sep 22nd 2018 as I was traveling.

Today my case is updated to interview scheduled, I will post the date once I have it :)

My I-751 was filed in Texas end of September 2017 post which I moved to New Jersey and it is still pending,my case was moved to NBC on 20th of December.

Hope this helps.

Did you receive the date and location for your interview?

I thought I share my experience here:

Interview went well, glad my spouse came. Officer invited us both and explained that she will be performing both interviews. She had a folder 2 inches thick on her desk - our file :-)))

So she went back 3 years asked many questions how we met, common friends etc. Asked DOB`s of kids. Looked at all pictures, glad I brought more. Asked for recent bank statements, tax transcripts, utility bills, insurance and so on.

She was very nice and professional about all. So we talked for at least 30 minutes and finally she said that my I-751 approved and I will get a new card within 30 days.

Then she said we gonna do N400 interview. She asked 6 civic test questions. I answered all correct. Asked to read a sentence. Asked to write a sentence. All passed.

Then we were going through my application - all questions I had to answer verbally. I`m glad we did that because one of the questions on the N400 I answered incorrectly - Part 12 Quest 19. It appears that Conceal carry license that I have falls under that category. So she corrected it.

Also she asked me to sign a form that I wasn`t aware that I have to register for selective service.

I had a couple driving  tickets from two and half years ago and because of that my n400 wasn`t approved right away and will be reviewed within 120 days.

I also brought quite a few support letters from various people "for counter weight" my tickets.  She said that they prefer them notarized but took them and put in the file.

She also said if my interview was in April then these tickets I had would be out of 3 year review period..... Fingers crossed.

Good luck to all!

Hi everyone:

Good news!!! I have had my interview 2 days ago and I pass.

It was a long interview more than 30 minutes. The officer was really nice and  professional but not a single smile until the end.

We arrived 2 minutes before the interview because was an accident in the route (my hubby almost have had a heart attack), wait only  for 5 minutes in the waiting room .

The officer Call my name and  he only allowed me to go in. My husband wasn't allowed to came.

I swear I will say only  the truth and I saw in the table the 3 of my huuuuuuge  files OMG I recognize it because I am  obsessive with color code and tabs and those 3 were mines LOL no one separate with hand made tabs and calligraphic writing LOL

He ask my name and my address (i was so nervous I forgot my address) and ALL the questions on the N400 file !

I didnt  answer the nazi ones on the application because I was thinking I shouldn't because  I wasn't born at that time! and it didn't apply to me but ....seems all need to be answered.

and then he saw all my trips .....well he was nervous seen how many countries I was in ...

He was asking me why I was traveling there, if I visit someone If I went out of country  If I was collecting money to any terrorist or whatsoever...I went in vacation! with my husband

I know ..sounds weird but I have a bucket list of things I want to do and some are in a far away countries.

after 35 minutes and the questions were

  • whats the capital of the state
  • whats the capital of USA
  • who wrote the constitution
  • how many amendments are
  • I cant recall the rest...sorry!

the reading was how many senators are

I wrote : there are one hundred senators.

he say congratulations I will approve you for citizenship...shake hands and go out with me

He didnt ask me anything else I was with a bag of all the originals (all separated by handmade color code tabs) hahaha I was so prepared in case become nervous I have all coded and separated.

NOTHING no one single more paper...I am glad it finish. I went out with poker face and when we were out of the building I told my husband I passed. He was so happy! Now one step more and we are done!

the best of luck to everybody..has been a looooong journey This page help me a lot to dont become insane.

We are delighted with the results.
