N-400 August 2018 Filers

Hello fellow August 2018 fillers, tomorrow is my biometrics appointment for my N400, my local office is San Jose,Ca. anyone outhere with same field office that have recently filed for citizenship what's the wait time??

Yeah Juneau is still better than where  I used to live.  We only had Alaskan airlines or take ferry and that’s it.  I guess that’s what our trade off for the last piece of frontier !

My dad applied in mid Nov 2017, and he took oath at the end of March 2018.

However they seem to interview EB and other cases also at the moment, naturalization apps are pushed back in 2018. It seems like they're interviewing February 2018 cases.

tthanks molly28th for responding to my inquiry 6 months is not to bad compared to other uscis offices, as you mentioned that it seems that n400's have been pushed back in 2018 hopefully San Jose is fully staffed!!😊

Mine shows July 2019 as well, it changed after biometrics was done and my case status has been "We reviewed your biometrics, you do not need to do anything at this time"

 

Hope this wait time change that's almost a year.

My waiting time changed from 11 months to 12 months again, September 2019...

So am wondering if someone had this same issue, filled application on 8/31 got 9/1 had appt notification for bio on 9/19. I did an early walk in for bio on 9/5, received hard copy appt letter on 9/6 and then on Saturday 9/8 i received a hard copy letter stating i had another bio for 9/5. Does that mean i missed a second bio or it was an error due to me going in for an early walk in ??

Have you tried calling customer service? They might have a better idea.

This almost makes me want to wait for my actual appointment date before going; I was planning on walking in tomorrow lol

No i did not call yet, might give a shot tomorrow. My status changed same day saying we reviewed your bio... you do not need to do anything something like that

Walked in to do Biometrics today.

Guy at the window said, "But your appointment is next week!" and I gave him the explanation that my coworker is pregnant and is about to pop (which is true) and that we're already stretched thin at work as it is (also true).

No updates on system yet (did it like an hour ago, so not expecting one for the moment). Will continue to monitor. 🤣

Just came back from my Biometrics appointment.  It went smoothly, just needed letter and Green card.  They scanned my fingers, got me to sign a pad and gave me a booklet for the questions.  Done.  Nothing about signing to say that I swear that my application was completed by me or that it was complete and correct.  Anyway, done.  Roll on the next part.

Yes, I noticed that too. Lots of information will be missing on the final N-400 snapshot. And it has nothing to do with Mac. That's how the system works at this moment. I believe all missing info can be added/edited during the interview. 

Thanks! I wanted to mention it during biometrics but they were so busy. Getting my husband organized with all the info and questions is what concerns me. LOL I am the one who does all the paperwork type of stuff.

Oops. Don't know where I pulled that template from. Thanks for fixing that and adding our info. I wasn't getting notifications either so I had a bit of catching up to do.

 

Anywho, we got our biometrics appointment so I'm gonna add that. Is year or more processing time an accurate for N400 cases? I haven't done too much reading into that aspect yet.
