~Moved to IR-1/CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports as OP is married to a USC and asking how to get to the US~

Like @Roel said, nothing in immigration is fast/easy/quick or at your convenience. It's a process. Follow the guides here and they will take you through the steps to getting yourself legally into the US as a spouse.

I'm a PR in Canada married to a US Citizen, currently going through the CR1 process. What country are you a citizen of? What would you like help with? As already mentioned, the I-130 guide posted by Roel would be very useful and the process takes 12+ months.

Ah, you're on the VWP like me then :) I'm from Britain. I'm a two or three hour drive from my husband so we're in the same boat. Let me know if you have any questions after reading the guides. I'm at the tail end of the CR1 process, waiting for my interview in Montreal.

The process is not ASAP.

It will take about 12 months for your visa to get approved.

i am on VWP also. i spoke to an immigration lawyer and he also explained that I can just go to USA and apply for AOS  and after application is approved i can go to Seattle.. Would not be allowed to leave USA or work though..

It's my understanding that because the VWP is used as a non-immigrant visa waiver to visit, not immigrate, going to the US and adjusting on the VWP is considered fraudulent. This is why we chose not to do that and pursued the I-130 instead. However, I'm sure there are other people who can speak to this more in depth and with greater understanding than me. @pushbrk maybe you can speak to this?

The lawyer has done nothing wrong, so there is nothing to report.  Lawyers speaking directly to clients are not governed by Visa Journey terms of service.  Only the law.

Ask the lawyer what would happen if you told the CBP officer of those plans if you attempted to enter via an ESTA... ;) If it's legal, it shouldn't be an issue.
