Hey guys just have a simple question.

My wife got a job offer in the mail for a company wanting to hire her ASAP. So we will start on the EAD expedite request soon.

Just wanted to ask though, once everything has been squared away with her EAD and it has been approved. Will AP automatically be approved as well?

I think I remember googling a picture of how the EAD/AP looks like, it seems like they are both in one card.

Not entirely sure; but they may do both. Generally AP/EAD is a combo card but they can be seperate also. Just because you apply for EAD doesn't mean someone always applies for AP. Again not sure but don't be surprised either way I guess.

I requested an expedite for EAD last month, and they approved me both EAD and AP.

Good luck!

Hi! can I ask how you did it? I am about to request for mine now. I have F2 visa, just finished school and got a fantastic job offer. What are my chances of getting an approval?

I called USCIS and talked with a Tier 1. I asked for the expedite based on financial loss. After 5 days, I received a letter asking for evidence. I sent my job offer letter and a past due bill from internet services. You have a lot of chances of approval, I know many cases that have been approved.

Are you having an F1 visa or an F2 visa?

If you just finished school with an F1 visa then you need to apply for OPT, which has a different process than getting a combo card/ead card from adjustment of status.

If you are on an F2 visa, you can't work unless you get like H1B or other visas.

Hi, yes you are right. I was referring  to EAD for OPT. I have F1 visa and I want to apply for expedited processing because of my job offer.

I'm not exactly sure how you can expedite EAD for OPT but I assume you can still do that after you submit your application. Just remember to apply for OPT within 2 months of your graduation date. I applied mine back in Feb 2017 right at the 90 days mark before my start date (May 2017), and I did receive my EAD card pretty much right before that date. Good luck with that.

Thanks a lot! I applied over 2 months ago, graduated 3 weeks ago and got a job this week. that is why I am exploring the option of expediting.

Hey Kabel,

If you dont mind me asking, can you share on how you did the whole process?

From my research, (correct me if I'm wrong)

1) Call USCIS, and request to expedite EAD based on financial loss

2) They will send a letter to you to fax with job offer letter

3) Fax the USCIS Letter + Job Offer Letter

Am I missing some steps? because from a thread that I saw in 2014, they said that we need to find out who our local congreewoman/man is and find out their fax, and fax the documents to them.

It is not necessary to contact your congressman. I did without it. Just follow the steps that you found.

Good luck.
