My dad is funding me because he's my dad and he earns enough money. Finances aren't an issue. And thank you.

But Sunnyland has a point, the CO could very well look at it from that perspective.  That was actually pretty much what I thought, too, reading that same statement.

You seem to get quite upset with people here for being “negative”. After two denials already on the books, you should realize that people here are trying to give you a realistic analysis of your situation and how a CO may be viewing your application. Remember that any tourist visa application starts with the assumption that you have immigrant intent, and it is up to you to prove otherwise. A CO might see your dad “earning enough money” being a good reason for him to come back, but it’s not a reason for you to come back. You being in a good position earning decent money etc on the other hand could well be a good reason for you to come back.

No, he won't be able to for a LONG time and me and my parents really want to see the US!

Schools give breaks, and jobs have days off. Him not being able to visit for a short time is unreasonable. If you and your parents want to visit, I wish you the best of luck in your application. If nothing has changed in your application however (your job etc), you are unlikely to be succesful but they will always accept your application fee money. :(

If your dad is funding this trip, this can backfire you or all of you for not having enough ties or funds for this trip. The tourist visa is based on your own merits. Just be aware of that. Please let us know what is the outcome of this. Good luck.

To OP's credit, this really isn't an issue.. from what I know about Indian culture. It's as simple as a dad/parent taking a family on vacation and using his credit card or funds to pay. And COs immersed in the Indian way of doing things are aware of that!

Let us know how it goes.

Another example of India nationals entering the US on tourist visas and not returning as intended.

What may have worked for you doesn't always work for others. Each application is different.  Are you saying (and giving OP false hope) you took all the documents in the link you quoted, and they were all looked at by the CO?

Is this your link.. asking about AOS for Indian tourist visa holder?  And one wonders why India nationals, like the OP, have a hard time getting a tourist visa.

I don't see a reason why you would tell me as to what I need to say and what I don't. I am free to express my point of view just like anybody else and share my experience (which did work btw).

As a Platinum Member on this forum, I was not expecting such comments from you. It would have been wiser to leave it on OP whether she wants to approach via my suggestion or not.

Yes, that was my link and what makes you so judgmental about the link? Is this platform not created to address such queries/concerns.

BTW as far as Indian Nationals are concerned, they are way ahead on several fronts including Tourist Visa, so lets not even bring such irrelevant points and stereotype things.

What do you mean by that, exactly?

There’s nearly a 25% refusal rate for B visas from India, which while not the worst is certainly far from the best out there even among non western countries (here’s the offical data https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/Non-Immigrant-Statistics/RefusalRates/FY17.pdf) Or did you mean something else?

Certainly seen some cases here, remember in the UK there was a fly on the wall documentaryt about visa applicants in India, OMG.

You're free to say what you like, no issues there. And I'm equally entitled to point out a post that stretches credibility. I had asked if you actually took all documents to the interview, and if they were looked at by a CO; you chose not to respond, rather went on a rant. Status isn't important, platinum or otherwise; what matters are posts that are relevant to a particular thread. What I see relevant, you see as judgmental. Good people can agree to disagree.

Btw, it is a violation of this site's ToS to ask members not to respond, as you appear to be suggesting above.

I disagree with you on something above - I think platinum membership  or whatever is important, because it means you’ve been around on these threads a long time, have seen a lot of posts and probably have a better informed opinion as to what usually works and what usually doesn’t. Sure, you’ll always find exceptions, but exactly as you said before just because something worked for one person doesn’t mean it’ll work for everyone.

Lol.. It is important, don't get me wrong.. level is consequential. While my statement came off as generic, I was saying I don't necessarily brag about my status on here. I have spent a decent amount of time in India, observed (not worked) a bit of the inner workings of the US embassy in Delhi, and thus able to share my viewpoint here based on my India experience.

Yes I did all of the documents at the interview and CO viewed them at a glance.
