Needless worry?

I am putting together all the information and evidence to file for the k1 and because my fiancé does not have a steady employment record, its causing me to worry.  She has always lived with relatives and has made her money by selling stuff thru the business "Personal Collection", but it has not been a great amount.  It just causes me concern that someone reviewing the file will look at her basically nonexistent work history and they throw up a red flag.  Then I wonder, IF they request more evidence, and I cannot produce anything, our visa application fee will be lost and we will have to pay it all over again to start the process at a later time, (if thats even possible).  Anyone have experience with a nonexistent work history?

Is your fiancé the beneficiary? Non-existant work history isn't an issue.

I agree. If your fiance is the beneficiary it isn't an issue. If you are the beneficiary and your fiance is the petitioner it will make it hard for the affidavit of support at the embassy stage and will likely need a co-sponser.

It's all good. Good luck on your journey. :D

Thanks much!  I appreciate you, and the others, taking the time to share your knowledge!  I know I will have more questions, and once I get past the lack of confidence on putting the application together, hopefully, I will have a good report to share.  :)

There are lots of people here willing to help. It is a great resource. I'm sure you've checked the guide but if you haven't make sure you do it is a valuable resource.

lol...yes, and reread, and reread...and then, even printed some of it out so I could study it during the day whenever free time at work presented itself.  I think, I might be overthinking things...lol lol… and that only leads to second guessing myself as to which way we should be going.  :)   (I really gotta stop doing that)

If you are not sure you have everything it never hurts to ask the community. Say "I have this, this and this. Am i missing anything?" I have seen many people do that.

you have the support and best advice here in the vj community

jiust take the advice especially from those with similar circumstances and the high fraud countrys

u can do it just be prepared for a lot of work (documents, visits, maybe an RFE)

hopefully an RFE at USCIS stage that would allow u to explain the engagement party, etc

much patience is needed now

BTW do not send proof that the USC has sent money to INdia

best to u and your fiance

I met my wife when she was 40, she had only about  1 year work experience in her entire life. It wasn't an issue for the K1
