Case 'in transit'

We are going through London. I have my medical booked for 25th September. Do I need to do anything now or just wait to hear from the consulate? Do they send me anything to say what to do next or do I book the interview once it says 'ready'?

I also remember seeing a form to fill out online and pay fees? Do I need to do that before I book the interview?

Thanks!

Just a general observation. Doesn't anyone read the other pages as most of these questions have been asked and an answer provided. Ok. I give up. Here you go.

There are experts over in the sub -forum for your country located here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/ where others from your country are processing or they are there after they have finished with everything and can guide you on their experience. A TON of information and help there.

First of all, if you haven’t already done so, make sure you complete your DS-160 and request your police certificate.  Now that you have your case number, you can call Knightsbridge to schedule your medical exam.  You’ll need to give them your case number when you schedule your appointment.  Once you have your exam scheduled, DS-160 completed and have everything else that you need for your interview, complete the Notification of Applicant Readiness Form and when your NVC case status changes to “In-transit” you can go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv to create an account and schedule an interview.  Make sure that you allow at least 5 working days between the date of your medical exam and the date of your interview or risk the results from the exam not arriving in time.  For your interview go here https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/  or call here 442074867822

U.S. Embassy London is pleased to inform you that we have received an approved petition in support of your

fiancee) or K3/4 visa application. Please refer to our website at https://uk.usembassv.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/ for detailed instructions on preparing for your visa interview and scheduling the appointment.

In accordance with 9 FAM 41.81 PN3.2, please find:

•        One copy of the petitioner's approved Form I- 129F, together with any criminal background information (including information on protection orders) that USCIS has gathered on the petitioner and any information that USC1S has provided regarding prior Form 1-129F filings by the petitioner.

•        One copy of USCIS's pamphlet, "Information on the Legal Rights Available to Immigrant Victims of Domestic Violence in the United States and Facts about Immigrating on a Marriage-Based Visa.

Issuance of a K visa is not guaranteed. A Consular Officer will evaluate your case and make a final determination

You are advised not to make any travel plans until you receive your visa.

Should you need to communicate with the Embassy regarding your case, please provide your case number exactly as

it is listed below.

ok, call three more times and they told me that The fiance and the children have the same case number, and that this is the case for this type of visa. and then they sent me the letter and there is only one case and it says. Principal beneficiary Bi .....and everythinelse . Just let you know .

That must be something new as I always knew that it would be ACCXXXXXXX001 01 then ACCXXXXXXX001 02 then ACCXXXXXXX001 03 and so on and so forth. Don't forget to read carefully especially when scheduling the interview because you pay have to pay individual and not combined or they will ask on some forms is there anyone else that you would like …….

The people i have talked to were approved july 31 and August 1 and their case were received  august 16 and august 17 (cases assigned as well) and their packets were mailed out already.  i was approved before and got my number before but yet i was forgotten. i wonder how they decide which packets to mail out.

Yeah I'm second guessing the 'in order' since I tried different numbers and not all says "In Transit". Like 045 says In Transit while 033 says at NVC. I hope they're still processing it and just forgot to update the site.

FYI, what I posted is not my Case number. Like I said, I'm only guessing and studying which ones are already In transit and which ones are not.

Thank you for your reply. I apologise. I did look back but couldn’t find the pages with London specifically. So much information online seems to contradict itself.

Thanks again for your help, I will be sure to head over to the London area on this site :)

You'll have better luck there as there are plenty of experts that can help you. This thread is kind of a stepping off between NOA2 and Case number and of course you get to hear all the bitching that goes on. :bonk: If you know what I mean. Good luck.

Yup, we’ve been calling every day last week, they received our case on Thursday and told our number on Friday. Mine are the same dates as yours. They rarely send emails on time, I’d recommend calling today after 6pm EST, because if you do already have the number assigned, your case will most likely be shipped out to the embassy tomorrow

good luck!🍀

NVC took 1 week to answer my inquiry. It's better if you call them.
