Yes, you don't have to wait until you receive the P3 letter.  You can do it when your CEAC status changes to ready as the embassy has received it..

You must have your DS=160 complete and submitted to schedule the interview

My fiancée was told from a friend who went through this process a few years ago that the I-134 needed to have an ORIGINAL signature to be accepted at the interview (not a copy or scan). I am trying to check the validity of that.

We just call the specified hospital and tell them NVC number😀

You won't get updates till your file is in transit from NVC to your Embassy. Give it another day or two and it should begin to show dates and activity.

The "wet" signature has been a "hot potato" issue for the longest time. I have seen both, scanned or wet with no RFE was ever given for either. A scanned copy of the original I-134, signed and dated and printed on good paper with clear legible ink will do the trick at the consulate, even though an original containing a "wet" signature is always preferred, but the consulate will work with you and agree to take the scanned copy.

 

"A signature is valid even if the original signature is later photocopied, scanned, faxed, or similarly reproduced. Regardless of how it is transmitted to USCIS, the copy must be of an original document containing a handwritten, ink signature, unless regulations or the form instructions state otherwise. For the medical, all you need is a copy of the email sent from the NVC stating that they have sent the the package to the embassy.  That is sufficient proof.  Due to scheduling conflicts, Akiko has rescheduled her medical for this Wednesday 8/22/2018.

 

Update, I just received a text from my fiancee that the P3 letter has arrived.

Is this process the same for an embassy in Poland? Can I schedule medical and start collecting all the documents for the interview , and then schedule interview once NVC says  in transit ?
