With a little more information I can answer your questions.

Also, many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Hey there fellow yardie! You can track your NVC status here: https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

You'll need to have your NVC assigned case number to use the tracking tool though. If you haven't already done so, call the NVC and ask for your case number. Since your NOA2 is a week after mine there's a good chance that the case has already gotten to the NVC and has been assigned a case number. To get your case number when you call you'll need to have on hand your WAC number as well as the names and birthdates of both petitioner and beneficiary.

How is the NVC case number sent to you? Is that something that is sent via email or post? I got my NOA2 two weeks but when I called they said they still don't have it. Thanks

Hi there,

Thought I'd help as I'm browsing. Your NVC number can be given to you on the phone once the NVC receives your case. It did take about 15 days from NOA2 to getting our case number. Once the NVC is done with your case, they will email you a confirmation (which will include your case number on it). Still havent received the letter from the NVC yet. It really does vary how long it takes from NOA2 to case number.  I recoken you should get your case number hopefully this week. Best of luck.

P.S Don't be afraid to call a few times each day if you like. I LOVE PORTLAND! My fiance is from there but lives in Vegas! :)

They'll send the petitioner an email once they send your case off to the beneficiary's embassy. The email will have your case number.

Thanks you for updating your profile with your Embassy. These are some of the questions I had from your previous post. If you were to answer those for me I will do my best to answer you. Your topic is in black my questions were in red.

"I have a couple questions for the affidavit of support (are you referring to I-134?) my fiance has a daughter who is in the sole custody of her mother so she wont be moving out here (where is "out here") with him. Do I list her name and birthday on it ("on it" which form is it) anyway? also on the DS 160 it asks when he plans to arrive and leave the US what do we put down for that? (What question is that your answering from the DS-160?)"

Hey guys. So the embassy just received my case today and my status says “ready”. My question is when should I receive packet 3? And do they send it only to the beneficiary or also the petitioner? I have provided them with both of our emails. Appreciate your feedback 😊

Hey there. How did you provide them with the beneficiary's email address?
