With further research I hope this answers how to fix mistakes.

If you find a birthdate or other such information incorrect contact NVC for correction here.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html?wcmmode=disabled

To correct the mistake on a form you have already filed, you will have to wait until you receive the application receipt notice that tells you that your application has been received. A unique receipt number will be assigned to your case once the USCIS receives it. This number will help you contact the USCIS regarding your case. USCIS will be able to locate your case using this number.

Once you receive this notice, you can call the National Customer Service Center and tell them that you have made a mistake on your form. You can also request them to fix the error. If the change is a minor one, the customer service agents will be able to fix it. At times, they may need some time to fix the error, in which case they will provide you with a reference number. You need to quote this number when you call back to check if the error has been fixed.

The customer service agents may not be able to help you if the error is a serious one. In this case, you will have to send a letter to the USCIS quoting your receipt number and explaining the mistake. You may also have to fill, sign and send a new form with supporting documents along with this letter, as per the instructions provided by the immigration agent who spoke to you.

USCIS may accept the correction and start processing your case if your letter reaches the agency on time. But if it is too late and if the agency has already started to work on your case, your letter may not be considered. In this case, you will be sent a Request for Evidence. If you receive a letter asking for more info, you can send the documents the agency has requested and corrections if any, within the time the USCIS has provided. You will not have to pay any additional fee for this.

But if your mistake is a serious one and if your case is rejected, you will have to start the application process again and also pay the fee again.

Just got off the phone with NVC and a very rude woman gave me my case number. Now, I'm a little confused since she gave me two numbers (Case number and invoice number?) but I guess I should use the first one with the 3 letters of the embassy (I think I read it a few pages back) But excited that we got our case number already.

NOA2 7/20 (paper copy) and 7/23 (new website)

You will use the case number starting with the 3 letters. The invoice number sometimes is asked for but Embassy specific where as the CR-1 visa it's used to pay NVC the immigrant fee which has nothing to do with the K-1 visa. Just keep it handy in the event you are asked for it.

Anyone from late July got their number yet? I’m July 30th NOA2, wondering if it’s too early to inquire 🙄

It's been taking about 2 weeks to get the file from USCIS at NVC. NVC usually assigns the case number within 10 business days. Keep checking CEAC to see if there are any changes, but to call I think around the 15th of the month you might try a phone call to NVC. If nothing, give it a couple of more days and call again.

Hi Everyone, I really need help now. My fiance has lost her passport and she recently got a new one with new passport number, but need to update her ustraveldocs profile.

https://cgifederal.secure.force.com

I was noticed that she couldn't update her passport number by updating her entered information which needs to request a "Provide Feedback"? And it takes already one day but no response. Then she realized that she had enter her name with one letter off.......... after she has sent out the request for her passport number change. She must be nervous and stressful of dealing with this stuff at the first time.

Would the system accept multiple feedback request and how long does it take to get one request done? Anyone had the similar experience before?

THANKS.

I think I got the same woman yesterday, she told me 8 weeks as well and I told her I will try tomorrow and she said it can take 8 weeks and to not call that often. But I am still calling today to see if I am lucky and get the number the following day like some others. Keep trying, some customer service reps are nicer than others.

There are several tools available to you to determine when is a good time to call NVC. Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them. Also, there is another place you can go and follow others who are processing the same time you are and for the same Embassy. Go to the blue ribbon at the top of this page and select "portals". Scroll down the left-hand side of the page till you get to VJ "your country's name" Timelines. Just below it you'll see "K-1" so you select it and out pops a window with others from your country.

The Philippines works slightly different from some other Embassy's where it is easier and fast. Someone just got approved recently and they completed it 22 days from receiving the case number to walking out of USEM approved. Once you receive your case number it's time to be in charge of what time you choose when things get down. To smooth that trail for your I have a few things that will help you process your visa there in the Philippines.

Start by visiting Hanks site where he has taken the time and research, and of course it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps he includes the what, when and why to completing the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Next you'll want to connect with those who are processing through the Philippines in the VJ Philippines sub-forum that way you will be with like minded ppl who are sharing their experiences and also asking and answering questions. Since most in this thread are processing through another country they would be hard pressed to explain what is needed for the Philippines.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

You'll find this on Hank's website but I will give it to you early and that is the Packet 3 Letter for USEM. It's found here:

https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Here is the Packet 3 letter.

https://ph.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/82/2016/08/K1-and-K2-Applicant-Interview-Preparation-Instructions-08112016-English-336KB.pdf

There you have it. Everything you need to get your visa. Good luck and smooth sailing.

That's what's nice about the PI you can get started now. Don't wait. They will send an email but that may not be for 3-4 weeks. That's why if you started now your file will be at USEM on your schedule day. Plan your interview out about 25 days and you should be good.
