Hello, today My NVC case  changed it into ‘in transit’ status as they sent it to counselor office.

Quick question regarding i-134,

I am the petioner, the time when I filed the petition I was employed in IT software company. My project got ended 4 months back so I thought of meeting my fiance back in her country before finding new project in US. Now I am with my fiance since last 4 months and now I am filing i-134 for k1 interview.

That being said:

 I am not currently employed.

I have total assests: stocks worth of $120,000, 401k worth of $30,000. Cash saving worth of $30,000 in US financial instution.

Currently I am single and no dependent. My last year income when i filed tax was: $100,000.

Can someone please suggest if I need joint sponser for i-134 or I can file stand alone by just showing my assests. Will that be enough to convience counsler officer?.

thank you

Hi fellow K1 filers I was wondering if the Frankfurt applicants could let me know how it work d with booking the interview date? Or in case you haven’t booked it yet would you mind sharing a screenshot of the calendar view once you book it?

I am struggling a bit on planning when I can quit my job...

thanks for your help

Kind of an open door, but never ever quit your job before you got your visa in hand.

I talked to my boss about every step of the process and I 'quit' my job on November 1st with the express agreement that I was allowed to go as soon as august 1st if my visa came in earlier. Once I got my interview date I notified my boss that I was probably having the 13th as my last workday. Now my interview probably has to be rescheduled and me and my boss are trying to figure out how he can keep me longer so I wont have to be out of a job for too long. Not fun!

Keep in mind that the time between approval and getting your visa is ten days for the Dutch consulate right now. I had my interview yesterday and they told me it takes ten days now.

I know. I had my last workday the day before the interview planned. I figured I could use those last couple of days to visit friends and family and get my stuff in order to go. Things are going to be really messy now.

I'm sorry to see that your problem with scheduling is still not solved. I would just print out the appoinment letter if things still aren't solved by Tuesday and take the visa fee cash with you.

That's my plan. Hopefully the tech manager is able to figure something out today.

Our case is in transit also.....as of yesterday August 7. So I decided to try someone else’s theory on seeing if NVC sent is electronically or through DHL.

this is what I did

www.DHL.com

Express checking

Track by shippers reference

Then fill it out...so for example this is what I did

Shippers reference is August 7, 2018

Date range for shipment, I choice days around the 7th

Account number leave blank

Shipment destination choose your country.

It seems this this theory has worked for several and they could track their package to the embassy. Well I did this and I’m coming up with nothing for Togo. So it means maybe they send it electronically or.....maybe it’s to early to do this theory. I will wait a few days and do it again, unless I see at embassy...which means they did it electronically. Any one else try this idea yet?

I tried for Colombia and didn’t see anything. If you leave the country part blank you can however see packages leaving the NVC to various countries.

So if you received it via email then does this mean you won’t receive via DHL?

They are referring to he case being sent from the NVC to the embassy/consulate. After the embassy receives your case (be it digital or analog) you will be sent your P3 instructions. Depending on the embassy this can be through email, through mail, or both. I had them through both email and regular mail.

Thanks love ^_^ The support from all you lovely people at VJ is what keeps us strong

I have an amazing employer! I've worked at city hall for 8 years, of which almost 3 at the city's archives. Unfortunately my replacement can't start till September 1st so any time I can work extra is appreciated on both ends!
