My fiancé is preparing the i-134 form. He signed it but I told him I will write in the date closer to the interview date.

How recent does the i-134 form have to be? Or can he date the i-134 for today?

Can someone refresh my memory.  When it’s “in transit” how long does it usually take till it’s “ready”?

Roughly 2 weeks  based on the NVC tracker of other posters

Quote

At NVC, In Transit, Arrived, or Ready. "Ready" is the magic word. That means that not only is your case at the Embassy, but it is already entered into the system. After paying your visa fee, you can submit your DS-160 and schedule your interview

Our case is in transit also.....as of yesterday August 7. So I decided to try someone else’s theory on seeing if NVC sent is electronically or through DHL.

this is what I did

www.DHL.com

Express checking

Track by shippers reference

Then fill it out...so for example this is what I did

Shippers reference is August 7, 2018

Date range for shipment, I choice days around the 7th

Account number leave blank

Shipment destination choose your country.

It seems this this theory has worked for several and they could track their package to the embassy. Well I did this and I’m coming up with nothing for Togo. So it means maybe they send it electronically or.....maybe it’s to early to do this theory. I will wait a few days and do it again, unless I see at embassy...which means they did it electronically. Any one else try this idea yet?

I am about to lose my mind.

The serbian embassy schedules k1 interviews themselves, and they scheduled mine intially for august 13th, yesterday I called and email to ask to reschedule, for something between september 3rd and september 15th, so that my fiancee has enough time to book a flight, gather his supporting documents and accompany me to the interview like we have planned.

This morning I got an email they have resheduled my interview for August 10th... I have just called them and was told I have to call back after 3pm, and sent them another email, I dont know what to do, my fiancee is supposed to bring all his supporting documents + documents for our joint sponsor, and now I won't even have those ready in time.

Have your fiancée send you the documents you need per overnight express mail. It'll be costly but not as costly as missing your interview. In the meantime keep mailing and calling them to reschedule.

Hello, today My NVC case  changed it into ‘in transit’ status as they sent it to counselor office.

Quick question regarding i-134,

I am the petioner, the time when I filed the petition I was employed in IT software company. My project got ended 4 months back so I thought of meeting my fiance back in her country before finding new project in US. Now I am with my fiance since last 4 months and now I am filing i-134 for k1 interview.

That being said:

 I am not currently employed.

I have total assests: stocks worth of $120,000, 401k worth of $30,000. Cash saving worth of $30,000 in US financial instution.

Currently I am single and no dependent. My last year income when i filed tax was: $100,000.

Can someone please suggest if I need joint sponser for i-134 or I can file stand alone by just showing my assests. Will that be enough to convience counsler officer?.

thank you

Hey hun, thanks for asking. Just a matter of keep on going.  Things haven't been resolved with the embassy yet but there is some movement. I had an email this morning from a tech manager at the consulate who is on he case now. Hopefully he will be able to solve things. I'll keep pestering them till someone gets tired of me

Hi fellow K1 filers I was wondering if the Frankfurt applicants could let me know how it work d with booking the interview date? Or in case you haven’t booked it yet would you mind sharing a screenshot of the calendar view once you book it?

I am struggling a bit on planning when I can quit my job...

thanks for your help
