Thank you so much for the info!!! I was aware of the portal but not the P3. One silly question though, this instructions will come when my case goes to "ready" right? Do I have a limited time to respond or it's ok?

Thank you again!!

When your case goes to ready it will be a short time thereafter that they send this P3. Once you have all your documents then send copies, not originals. Once your appointment is made then you will attend the interview with the originals of those copies that you sent back to the Embassy earlier. This is going to save you some time having the P3 ahead of time.

Just a heads up, we didn't receive p3 instructions until we did an inquiry. If it is too long after it goes to Ready, try emailing them. That is what we had to do with our embassy anyway.

I am predicting tomorrow we will see many cases switch to "in transit".  My analysis shows that the NVC batches cases for transfer to the NVC every two week and they are due for a new batch tomorrow.   Lets cross our fingers as I have been waiting about the same length of time also.  🤞

I think you're quite right. Based on the data in this spreadsheet it seems they send them off every 2 weeks:

Hey!

I've become a little confused when reading some people's responses in this thread.

Do I print out and bring the i-129f to the interview? Or anything else given to USCIS when we first filed?

Do I, the beneficiary, also sign and date a letter of intent to marry? On the Checklist received by the embassy it says nothing about an updated letter of intent even though I do remember reading about it before.

Thank you in advance :)

Every embassy/consulate is different. There's some common theme's but each embassy may vary.

You only have to bring whats in the embassy's P3. Mine didn't say anything about a letter of intent either, but I have it anyway cause I was overpreparing, lol.

Take everything from your I129f with you to the interview. The CO doesn't need it but it will be your reference. Make sure you know whats in the I129f package cause you will probably be asked about it. Some people got questions like "where did you go to on the 22nd of august 2017 when you were visiting your fiancé". Better be prepared instead of sitting there trying to think what you did on any specific day a year ago.

06.01.2016 met online

Someone posted on here that it seems they are sending them out in groups every two weeks and if that is the case then August 7 would be the next date.  Today 😁 so maybe keep your eyes open at your case and see if this theory is correct. Hopefully yours is in that group, we are hoping ours is also!!

Sorry I should have scrolled down before I answered this...now I can see others answered you. Sorry for repetitive posting 😛

Hey!

I've become a little confused when reading some people's responses in this thread.

Do I print out and bring the i-129f to the interview? This is entirely up to you. Most don't but like @Little_Vixen advise that the information contained within the document can be a refresher and a preparation document for the interview. It's not needed but again it's up to you.

Or anything else given to USCIS when we first filed? Your only duplicating what the CO has in front of them. Remember, they scan everything you send into the computer system and it is tied to your record. So nothing more is necessary.

Do I, the beneficiary, also sign and date a letter of intent to marry? The rule thumb here is if it is not in the P3 letter (documents needed for the Embassy interview) it's not required. For some reason everyone think its required but it is Embassy specific and I have yet to find an Embassy that requires it. But, I don't say anything as for some this is their security blanket.

On the Checklist received by the embassy it says nothing about an updated letter of intent even though I do remember reading about it before. Just do what do will do!

You can't prepare for everything that could possibly be asked but you do have a P3 that does ask for certain documents and their is a reason for that. Most of the information is from things you get locally, like security documents, marriage documents, divorce or death certificates, medical results etc.. Don't overthink this interview. Rarely are you denied if you have gotten this far in the process so if you make a mistake like a missing document, you'll get an RFE and you supply the contents of the RFE and your case gets adjudicated to its finality. Maybe 2 weeks more of a wait.

Thank you in advance :)

I hope this helps.
