@Greenbaum thank you for the tag. (2 more days till poe!)

@Akiko & Brad

Hi

She can schedule medical with the NVC number, I’d suggest giving 10 day in between because she will need to show NVC mail at the medical which is sent in when the case goes to transit (just print it and take it with you),

Try to check my embassy review for tokyo, I wrote as detailed as I can and tag me if you need anything :)

I'm excited for you. Good luck and safe travels. Thanks for all your help here on VJ. We have had some interesting questions to answer and topic to discuss.

Thanks @Greenbaum!  So how long usually does it take to receive the hard copy of NOA2? Then how long to receive the NVC number?

Also, aside from gathering documents what do we do at this point?

2 weeks from USCIS to NVC and then 10 business days to Case Number. Do you have the Packet 3 letter from Canada? That's all you work on.

@Greenbaum I printed out the link you sent me.  Thank you by the way!  Is this the exact checklist that would be attached with the P3?

We we do not have the original hard copies yet obviously, since our NOA2 was dated July 18.  I pretty much have all that ready.

Do you know what dates people are booking Medical’s and interviews? I hope it’s not a crazy wait I would love to have a POE late September to early October, since I need to give work 4 weeks notice. Also my fiancé and I set a date for a catholic wedding in May of next year.  So our plan is to marry as soon as I get there so we can apply for AOS ASAP.

I know now this might be an off topic question but how long is it taking to process AOS’s?

Yup that looks like the check list they are asking for. Each Embassy has a different schedule and processing times and so I won't be able to help with that answer. But if you go to the sub-forum for your country you'll be able ask there and one of the experts will help you. Staying her out of friendship is nice but there is many here that can help you like your sub-forum can. Last I heard AOS was taking about 6 months. EAD is about 3 months.

Well what your lawyer told you is impossible because your file is not released to your Embassy until such time as NVC assigns a case number. So when the case does arrive it has a case number for the Embassy. I have helped hundreds to get their visa in the Philippines and here in some of the threads and never have any of them who have completed their medical prior to the interview every was denied or was a cause for problems.

Lawyers who do these petitions are worthless. :bonk:  Lawyers who are immigration attorneys and do case work for immigration related issues are needed and serve a genuine purpose. Just my two cents.

So you're telling me it doesn't matter when I do my medical? Even if the medical package arrives at the embassy before whatever comes from the NVC? I just want to be 100% clear, because if I can already schedule it and do it in 1 or 2 weeks I would be very happy.

Received NOA2 dated July 12th, on 17 July 2018,

Is there any way I may track and receive NVC case # online.

Thanks for help

I believe you have to call for your case number and then you can track it.  ❤️

Thank you so much, everyone!
