I never gave the Swedish Embassy the x-rays since they weren't asked for. I wouldn't know what would happen if the embassy got them.

The x-rays are yours and they will never be asked for in any future process like embassy interview, AOS, GC or naturalization.

Most important is what you said, Birth Certificate. Do you have any licenses like lawyer, medical and/or engineering to name a few if so bring those. If you have certificates like a teaching certificate bring it. Bring your HS and College transcripts if you have them they are not usually asked for but having them with you could come in handy. If you were previously married bring the marriage certificate as well as the divorce papers. That should do it.

good to know about the license! i forgot about that. thanks.

one more question : i didn't saw any of the processes asking for police certificate. will i encounter a situation or an application or a process where i will need my police certificate for my home country?

thank you for your replies,as always helpful

You'll need a local police report. I'm not sure about the procedure. https://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Lebanon&cty=Beirut Read information from their about the process and maybe you will find your answer.

Thought I would share the embassy review I posted this morning.

Junrey's interview was 9/24/2018. I attended with him. I thought we were well prepared and had everything in order. I was wrong. This was an adventure.
Couple of things first. Everything at the embassy was well organized, professional, and friendly.
The appointment was scheduled at 6:10AM and we lined up around 5:45. We had the appointment confirmation that allowed us to get in line, but we did not have the application confirmation. Junrey had completed the application so I was unfamiliar with the confirmation page that had his picture on it. They gave us the website to get it and gave us until 9:00AM to come back with it. I had rented an Airbnb condo across the street and so we went there to get what we needed. Junrey saw the document online and said "I've got that". We had it all along. So back to the embassy (7:30AM). Got to go to front of the line. We were then allowed into the embassy and waited our turn for pre-interview. In the pre-interview stage it was determined that some how Junrey had paid for a K1 visa but attached it to the tourist application he had made 2 years prior. She was confused how he did, but needed a K1 visa application. She gave until 10AM to get a K1 visa completed. Back to the condo (around 8:30AM at this time). We started to complete the online application (very slow if you are in hurry). About half way through a message was issued "timeout - click ok to continue for additional 20 minutes". It timed out anyway. We could have accessed that application if we had written it down. We started over, but immediately wrote down the application number. We finished the application and fortunately I had his picture to upload into the application on my laptop.
It is now 9:15AM but no printer. Saved confirmation page to USB memory card and went to find printer. The computers were out at the first internet shop we found. We found a print shop in the next block that was able to print it out for us. Back to the Embassy, bypassed all the lines and to the pre-interview window. A USB memory card (I didn't have on first time through) is not allowed in. US citizens are allowed to check in electronic devices by going through a different door. I gave them my driver's license and the usb that I picked up on the way out. Cleared pre-interview window. Then finger printing of Junrey. Then wait for interview. Interview questions: (Junrey was extremely nervous) How did you meet? When did you first meet in person? Wedding plans? Junrey said we would get marriage license and get married the next week. CO wanted details of the wedding. Some how Junrey couldn't verbalize that it would be courthouse wedding with just the 2 of us. Tell me something that just you and your fiancé know? CO then said "I'm going to recommend approval". I believe that the statement "Recommend approval" vs. "Is approved" puts you in administrative processing. We were in "Administrative processing" for 10 days with status changing to "Issued" on October 4th.
Overall the embassy went out of their way to help us and we were able to get it done.

We will now schedule CFO class and book airfare as soon as visa is in hand

Congratulations 🎈🎊🍾

Thank you so much, everyone!

My Matt has been here a little under a week. Everything went very smoothly for him with entry into the US. He'll probably do a PoE review soon once the rest of the dust settles and I've gone back to work. We got our marriage licence on Friday and have a small ceremony planned for the morning of the 21st. We'll more than likely be filing for AOS at the beginning of November. Hope to see you all there as well!

hi all,

so i was looking at the second envelop that the doctor gave me after my medicals and i found out that he gave me one cd and one paper stating what shots i took.

anw i think this is form i-693 (first page only).

do i need more than this paper further in the process?

what is the DS-3025 and what if i dont have it?

is I-693 the one that i would send at AOS as medical proof?

thanks for the help..

The document that is given by the medical facility for evidence that you have completed the vaccination regiment is normally the DS-3025 and not the I-693, BUT either will work as long as the I-693 shows the completion of the vaccination regiment. Yes you will use either document to forward with your AOS package after marriage in the pursuit of your Green Card. Be sure to keep copies of everything for your files and only send the original. The CD is not used for anything more than a baseline of what your lungs look like and could be supplied to a Doctor in the future if they would like to see what you lungs looked like on the date of your medical. That's pretty much what it's good for.

Sorry for the very late update but I have been very busy in the last two months. As soon as I can I will be doing an embassy review.  This post is to share our experience in the process.  Admins, if this is not the proper forum I apologize in advance,  did not know where to post.

Interview date: September 14, 2018

highlights:

  • Visa status: Administrative processing
  • reason: request for additional documents

Description of our experience:

Arrived just in time for the queue at the security update.  Be advised to have eaten before the interview as the waiting times are long.  We knew that cellphones are not permitted but could not leave it a our rooms.  We used on of the locker services at the nearby mini mall.  On the documents processing queue my fiancee was asked if she traveled previously and where.  She said yes and answered Guadalupe was and the year.  Later at the interview she was asked again about the trip and it circumstances.  My fiancee explained that she went to visit a relative living there multiple times.   Turns out she has to submit a Police certificate from Guadalupe. 😕

We consulted with our lawyer 😕 and lawyer said my fiancee should have been more specific at the trips to Guadalupe when we were filling the I-129 F Form.  Not going to bother with further details on our discussions with our lawyer but apparently the motive for considering my fiancee as "residing" on Guadalupe was the multiple entry (french) visa she got.

Turns out that she had to request a police certificate from France (Guadalupe or Guadeloupe is french territory).  She got the infamous 221(g) refusal letter sating the documents needed and reference to ustraveldocs.com for further instructions  After other bothersome details she finally obtained her negative police certificate from the french government.  She inquired about legalization of the police certificate and answered that if the documents is an original no legalization is needed.  We are still sorting that out since it is very difficult for here to have that document properly legalized in France.  We double checking and yes.... with our lawyer involved 😕 that we also are filling everything properly.

Once we have everything sorted our my fiancee will be sending the documents:  221(g) refusal letter, 221(g) submission response, printed out police certificate, translation of said police certificate from french to english and of course the passport.  As per ustraveldocs.com and embassy instructions she will be sending thru the mailbox (at Mailboxes, inc.)  chosen to receive her passport in the first place.  If everything is OK we should receive the passport with the visa on it at about two weeks. No appointment necessary as stated in our 221 (g).

Send you paperwork ONLY if you can have a receipt that the package was sent and that it was signed for on the other end. Keep copies over EVERYTHING you send this way if something happens you can turn it around pretty quickly with what you sent in the lost shipment. Trust me, I have seen more then once.

Thanks a lot for the tip.  Yesterday my fiancee sent the documents.  We have scanned copies of everyone of the documents.  We were expecting that the mailboxes service to punch the 221 (g) Submission response copy as evidence of submission.  Instead they punched a copy of the 221 (g) letter.  From what we have heard things are quite speedy lately in the Santo Domingo Consulate.
