Thank you.   We were approved.   🎉

I want to thank all of my fellow Thai K1 applicants (past and present) and everyone else who has contributed to Visa Journey.   Everything progressed with our I-129F Petition and K1 Visa application as well as I could hope (other than being a long slow process).   I am not sure if I could make that claim if VJ was not holding our hand along the way.

Honorable mentions go to @Loren Y for letting me follow in his footsteps, @Naes for being a VJ friend and someone to talk to, @Greenbaum for his support, and @TBoneTX for setting me straight when I was off target and teaching me to be a good VJ contributor. (I am sure he has no idea what I am talking about.  😀).

Now I need to figure out which of the many VJ forums I need to start paying attention to...

congratulations to both @JoelThai and @Bunyaka on passing the interview!.  Hoping i will get the same result.  Good luck in the future.

Thank you!   If your documentation is complete and organized with reasonable supporting evidence of relationship, you should have nothing to worry about.   My fiancee reported that the interview was quick and easy and a lot less stressful than she was expecting.   Good luck to the both of you!

You can check my review of her embassy interview here:

Thank you for the detailed review.  I will pass this info to my fiance, hopefully she won't be as nervous than she already is...

Hi all, do you know the average time it takes for the passport to be delivered to us following the interview in London?

Thanks

There are experts over in the sub-forum for your country located here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/. This is where others from your country are processing or they are there after they have finished with everything and can guide you on their experience. A TON of information and help there.

ALSO

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

They asked him "when did you two first meet" and "when did you first meet up in person". Barely serious in my opinion, but I'm not gonna ask them to have him come back to be grilled.

I actually had a dream the night before that we didnt get approved, but we didnt get denied either. I bolted upright in a panic. I guess dream me wanted to have a definite answer, even if it had ended up being a denial. I cant say I blame my subconsious thought 😂

The reason they don't ask a lot of questions during the interview is because they pretty much had their minds made up after reviewing your case file before the interview that you guys were OK. If they had a serious issue they would have grilled her. Second, the UK is not a problem country and has good ties with USA so it's pretty standard that if the petitioner and beneficiary are not THUGS then you pass. Easy Peasy.

Congratulations and safe travels.

BTW, get her a SSN after she has arrived and has rested https://drive.google.com/open?id=1FPS1jnHdCV_jMg2ncRbUQ42C9zZ9yueT

Hi y'all an update,

Our interview is on Sept. 18th, fiance is already in Naples getting ready for the medical tomorrow and then the interview on Tuesday. All our documents have been prepared except we've had some issues with the Albanian police certificate which we ordered on August 17th and as of Sept 11 (when the Naples embassy answered our email) it still wasn't at the Embassy. This document is very peculiar as the Consulates will not accept it directly from the applicant and it must all go through the Embassy in Tirana and then be sent through email to the appropriate embassy/consulate (in this case Naples). We were freaking out trying to figure out where the document was and the Tirana Embassy was zero help, they do not answer phones or emails. The Naples Consulate told us not to reschedule our interview and to send them a message early this week which I have already sent. I did check on CEAC and our case had an update on September 13th, so hopefully that is our document that arrived. Unless the Embassy answers our email tomorrow we won't know anything until our interview on Tuesday. Will keep you all updated, and good luck to everyone else.

I hope things begin to smooth out for you guys. All hope is not lost on your approval as the CO at the Embassy will conduct the interview and once the PC has arrived will look it over and if they are satisfied with it they will move forward with approving your visa. At the interview, if the PC document hasn't arrived, they will issue you a 221(g) which just means your case is on hold till the 221(g) can be satisfied. Since the PC is going directly to the Embassy then all you have to do is wait till the render their decision and at which time the Embassy will be in touch with you and or CEAC will change. Your doing fine and no need to freak out as there is a process. Trusting the process will lower your freak level and you should now be calm.

It's a good thing they caught the TB in time to cure it. This is going to be a rough time but many have had to complete this regiment so it's something that happens. I would invite you to ask your Philippines specific questions over in the sub-forum where there are many of us that can answer any questions you may have along the way. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

@Greenbaum thank you as always for the excellent response.  My fiance started her TB treatment this week.  We are glad we caught this now and are getting her all better.  Luckily rest of family tested negative.

Your welcome. I'm glad you are following our suggestion and understand the severity of TB. It's going to strain your relationship so beware she is going to need lots of TLC. You guys take care and let us know how you are doing from time to time.
