Hi all

My Fiancées interview is on Sept 23. I am getting mixed advice/commentary on whether I should attend the interview or not. It is in Egypt and I was told it is not required and the chances are still good for him if I don’t attend. Then I keep reading on this forum it does help. I’m concerned because of finances and work if I’m able to go. If I don’t go, do I hurt our chances?

I really want to go but have to make a wise decision financially and work wise. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If you the Egyptian Embassy is a problematic Embassy for approvals then being their stregthens your case for an ungoing relationship, but your documents must stand on their own. There isn't anyone that can prove that it helps. We can only tell you what we witness. I for one, went to my wife's interview but I think she was going to be approved anyways as she interviewed through one easiest Embassy's to get a visa from. Was I glad that I was there YES. Did it make a difference MAYBE. Read the reviews http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Egypt and maybe it help you decide.

Hi,

Can anyone help me?

My interview date was changed onetime from mid Sept to Oct 1st.

However, I might need to reschedule it again to around end of Oct.

(Mid Sept(Cancelled) → Oct 1st(current appointment) end of Oct(?) )

I thought the date can be changed two times.

However, when I tried to reschedule an appointment, there was a comment below on the website.

I think this means I need to pay MRV fee again if I want to reschedule my appointment even I had rescheduled only one time.

Should I call the embassy?

If you cancel this appointment, then you will have exceeded the limit of appointments canceled, and will not be able to schedule another appointment until another MRV fee has been paid.

@Naes may be able to comment on this.   I believe she rescheduled with the Embassy in Japan a few times....

Yes if you change more than 2 times time you need to repay the MRV fee. you get 1 initial, 2 reschedule with each fee.

If it was only your second rescheduling, and the rescheduling button appears instead of "cancel" then you have this one go. and what you read means: this appointment that you just changed is your last. as you can see it says then you will have exceeded the limit of appointments canceled. THEN and WILL are the key words.

Once you exceed this limit, you won't see reschedule appointment button on the right anymore.and won't be able to see open dates either. unless you pay another fee.

So from what I gather you can change it one last time now, but this is the last one.

Good luck :)

Looking for some advice here.  My Fiance's medical came back with Xrays saying she has TB.  St. Lukes in Manila told her she had 2 options.  Move to Manila, and do 132 treatments for 6 months, or she can do it at her local hospital, but after the 6 month treatment, would have to do an additional 12 months.  We chose Manila.

The question I have is this, is there a way to get a second opinion?  The skin/blood test didn't come back positive, and her sputum tests usually take a month or two to culture.  Are they making us wait for no reason?   Can we do the initial vaccination in Manila, and the rest in US?

Our application is now at the Manila Embassy, and I think it is valid for a year.

Any advice on what to do would be appreciated.  Right now, we are just pushing forward and trying to keep our spirits high.

urgent!

1: Make sure the DS-160 barcode number matches the barcode number in your UStraveldocs profile and on your Appointment Confirmation letter.

nBut i don't see nowhere that i can put my ds160 code into the UStraveldocs profile.

I have scheduled the interview and receieved my appoitment confirmation letter, but there was only my UID number and no ds160 bar code there. what is wrong here?

Now i cancelled my appointment and wait to see if there is a place in the UStraveldocs that i can punch my ds160 code in. O.W. they won't match and my Fiance can't attend the interview.
