First off I hope he is doing better. Second, you do not have access to the medical records other then what the examining establishment and the Embassy wants you to know. Third, you will know what vaccinations were given as he will receive a form DS-3025 which list all the vaccinations and that your vaccinations for travel to the USA are complete. This form is very important and is usually given to you at POE by immigration. You MUST safe keep this form as it must be included in the AOS package after marriage. Fourth, ANY contagious disease is grounds for delay or denial of the visa.

If you have a concerns for his interview, you can postpone it till he is in better condition health wise as he has one year from the NOA2 date to process the visa and be on American soil. This is an option and should seriously be considered. If you want more details then PM and we can discuss.

Thank you!!! Hmmm but hmmm....we did not realize this and he had the medical and the interview already. Friday we pick up results and we are suppose to bring it to the embassy Tuesday next week. They knew he did not have medical exam results but still asked him to do the interview and he did. So now it’s to late...they know he bringing medical results in. They said it’s the only thing they need before they issue our visa. Hmmm I guess all we do is wait and see what happens and hope mumps is not a big deal since he is fine now. Thank you he regaining strength and almost back to himself. If you have any thoughts then we will do what’s wise...but at this point I don’t know what else to do but wait for results and brig to embassy like they told us. ??

I just got my packet 3/4 today from the Bogota Embassy by email. I don't know whether if they were going to send it anyways but I emailed them twice. I emailed them this morning and got it a few minutes ago.

Hey I am in the same boat as you. I scheduled my interview already but got an email today requesting my fiancee's email address. What did the packet 3/4 letter from the Bogota embassy include? Was there any issue that you had schedule your interview before receiving the packet 3?

Thanks

I got visa approval yesterday 9/4/2018 and my visa status has remained as "Application received" after 24 hours. Is this normal?

It's completely normal. Just wait it out. You're done pretty much with this process.

That's what you need to do get the results and bring to the Embassy. You are going to be fine. Just relax and this will soon be over and you will have your visa. Trust the process.

After you get your case number from NVC it would be a good idea if you were to connect with the VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in Colombia and they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa from their personal experience. Link:

Get the US Embassy Colombian K-1 Packet 3 (P3) at  https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7hB3bl9Snfkb0NiMVFUd2JsVjA/view  as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use the EL as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview. If it is not on the Embassy letter, it probably is not needed.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for your country so that you are up to speed.

It must remain sealed. They should give you 2 envelopes one for the embassy. The other is going with him to America. I’m sure the doctor can give you a copy for yourself if you request it. The one he takes to America will stay with him after they look at it to process him. So you will have a copy of it I’m sure.

Once he passes through the POE he will receive the DS-3025 (vaccinations record) and any disk that has his x-rays on. That's all. No medical information is shared with the beneficiary except if their are medical issues and then he will be referred to a Doctor for further diagnostics. The envelope they received from their medical will be handed over to the CO who will use it to adjudicate the remainder of their case. Again, nothing at that time will be given to them. I hope this helps clear things up for you and for @TogoAfrica.

Just thought I would provide update of our status

We received NOA2 notice on July 27th.   I called NVC 3 weeks later and they provided the NVC (MNL) number.  Didn't have to say why I was calling.  They asked for WAC number and then asked identification info of petitioner and beneficiary.

At that point I was able to check status at https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx  .  Status at that point was "At NVC".   About week later received email notice that case was being sent to Embassy in Manila.  Status changed to "In Transit".  A few days later the status changed a few days later to "Ready".

Junrey's will have medical exam on  9/10 - 11 and interview is scheduled 09/24 at 6:10am.  I'm flying to Manila to attend the interview with him.  Getting closer.

Good Luck and best wishes to you both!!!!
