Any one able to check their NVC case status..? Mine does not open

Make sure you enabled pop up on your browser, if that is your issue.  Otherwise check your internet connection.  You can also provide more information so that we know the specific issue you are experiencing.  ❤️

Thank you so much, everyone!

We had our interview today but unfortunately we were not approved and given a blue paper with requests for some more things to provide. We are devastated.

Sorry to hear that, perhaps missing documents. At the last minute I almost forgot to send my fiancee tax returns

So if you go back and supply the missing documents, can your case get re-evaluated for approval?   Also, what does the blue paper means?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much, everyone!

221(g) Blue Form: A blue form implies that the US Visa Consulate needs an additional supporting document(s) to take a decision on a visa application.

Quote

The officer will hand you over a 221g form with instructions and information about the additionally required information.

Follow these instructions for a 221(g) refusal form and provide as per the instructions.

In addition to just the missing documents, another reason could be that the officer/consulate wants to verify your case specifics with concerned authorities before making the decision and such cases can be put under "Administrative Processing".

If you have been requested to wait until the Consulate contacts you, please do not make an appointment. Your case requires further administrative processing and the Consulate will contact you once this has been completed.

I have recently received my packet 4 on August 29 and booked my interview and medical  The last time I check the CEAC website was August 28 and I had no issues.  I have been trying to access it all evening and I couldn't access the site.  I am using a desktop and google chrome.  Pop-ups are enabled.  Is there something wrong with the site?  I tried using my DS-160 number under the non-immigrant and then my MTL case number under immigrant and it keeps telling me the codes I enter are incorrect each time.  I thought I was going cross eyed trying to match the codes.

Anybody else experiencing this issue?

Yes, you are not alone. I have also experienced the same issues. I put my NVC case number on the immigrant and my DS-160 number on the non immigrant. Lots of others are also having similar problems.  I think the site is temporarily down. No worries, you're definitely not cross eyed. ;)

Update for us: August 30 we had our interview even though our medical records were not ready yet. The embassy knew this and asked us to come anyways. Normally the petioner is not allowed in...but lol they couldn’t see me sitting outside the entire time so they broke rules and let me in. We feel this was very beneficial because the interview was very easy....

have you been married before?

Do you have children?

was she married before?

does she have children?

when was the first time you met?

why?

where?

when are you going to America? My fiancé told them we have no date yet and we are waiting on the approval.

asked when did I arrive? The interviewer could see I was there. And at one point asked to speak to me....just to say hello and I was able to help pull out the correct papers they needed.

Then he asked again to my fiancé when are we going back to America and he said again we have not bought the tickets yet because waiting for results from interview.

He then hen said he was very sorry he could not approve us today but to come back with our medical results and if everything fine with that he will approve us. So September 11 the results will be ready and we will go back to the embassy.

Thats our experiance 😁 it seems good! We see what September 11 brings. Still nervous since we have not received our official acceptance yet.

There are a couple of BRIGHT spots to your story. First, is that you were there for the interview supporting your beneficiary. That goes along ways with CO's. I attended my wife's interview in the Philippines, which is an Embassy that is probably the busiest in the world or close to it, and the CO stated the same to me that he was glad to see me there. For me it was an exciting time because I was able to witness one of the primary responsibilities for an Embassy. I was in awe the entire time. Second, that the CO kept your passport which is always a good sign. If during the interview it's returned then that means the case for a visa has been denied. Third, they are living up to their word, they knew you didn't have your medical case to present and they asked you to come in the same. Knowing that they gave you a pass till such time as you can produce your medical case to the CO. Once they receive that it's not going to be long before you see your passport with your visa inside. Take a big deep breath as you have nothing to worry about as shortly you will have that visa you been chasing. Good luck.

This is not unusual as there are number of issue that can prevent you from accessing the website. When this happens, and you are using the same entries as before, then take a few hours off and let it come back and then try again.

Hey guys,

Think i've made a mistake on my DS-160. I'm just a little confused with all conflicting info on the internet. As obviously I have paid my interview fees and booked my interview - I don't want to lose our date. Would it be ok to fill in a new DS-160 and bring the old confirmation sheet and new DS-160 bar code confirmation sheet to the interview? Have no issues refilling it in. Obviously would rather have it correct. Feel so frustrated at myself. Do you think this would be ok?

Thanks

Jon

Yes you can complete a second, third, fourth, fifth or more. Just take the copy of confirmation page with the bar code to the final one to the interview. No harm done.
