Thanks for the quick reply. That's what I thought, just wasn't sure if i864 and i134 were interchangeable here. We just wanted to be certain. Thanks again.

My experience over the years is that people do not want to make a mistake. So they overcompensate for every little question that they have because they're afraid that they're going to get denied. Hence we get a question like that "how do I address a letter."

I guess, going forward, I will only ask questions everyone else deems important enough to ask. Sorry if it was a stupid question, don't know what I was thinking. Could have sworn this was a forum to ask questions to ensure we are properly prepared, guess I was wrong.

No I understand. I’m just Irish and we are very direct here. Sometimes to my disadvantage. No I guess it’s a forum and should have a policy for no question is silly. Plus I’m sure everyone wants to be 100% sure. I’m lucky to have a sub forum for the UK, so it’s quite specific to my embassy, whereas some countries don’t have that here on VJ. Sorry if I offended anyone with my previous comment. Keeping it under control 🙈

Not a stupid question at all, @conarroest, I had the same question earlier as well. Please ask any questions that come up, there’s always someone around willing to give an answer 😉

It is a forum to ask questions. I give my answer and I give the authority also. If the answer is an opinion I say so. If the answer requires additional work on the OP then I make recommendations. If I don't know the answer I will say so or just skip the question all together as I nothing positive to add. Many of these questions have been asked by others and I just go to OneNote and cut and paste the answer.

Sometimes we just get a little quirky in what we observe from the many different questions that are asked. Believe me I have seen many in my time but I take the time to answer those questions even if I am shaking my head in disbelief. For you, I took the time to defend you that should count for something.  I'm not the one who through you under the bus. So I explained my position, @jakejon has apologized so let's just move on and not make a big deal out of this. There are bigger fish to fry.

I have a question about the I-134 supporting evidence, does it matter when my fiance gets his statements from his employer? Can he get it now or maybe a few weeks before the interview? I don’t know if there’s going to be a date on it

Best time is within 30 days of your interview. Fresh is always best.

I'm just planning on addressing them to the embassy where the interview will be held at.

Yes, this seems to make the most sense. Thanks!

Use the Embassy address and to whom it may concern is fine.

Don’t mean to be sarky here but really what difference does it make whose address the documents are on as long as all the correct documents are given that the embassy ask for. Surely they just want to see that the beneficary has sponsorship for the visa and is unlikely to become a public charge.

You may not have meant to be snarky but that's exactly how you're coming off. I've seen on this very forum stories from many people outlining missteps that one could consider trivial causing lengthy delays in processing. An incorrectly addressed document technically cannot be considered "correct". Let's not discourage persons from exercising the requisite meticulousness that this process demands.

Not a silly question at all. If you're not sure about something ASK.

I agree that comments like those can discourage other members from asking questions to get the answers they need. I personally haven't asked any questions in the forum (yet 🙂) but when they arise, I want to be assured that someone will be willing to help, regardless of how 'silly' my question appears to be. That's why I am especially appreciative of @Greenbaum who offers his knowledge and experience daily in the forums.

To be fair, if one reads through this thread there is a high chance their question was already answered. I haven't had to ask any questions here yet because anything I've been wondering about has already been mentioned and addressed.

Still trying to get my interview fixed. I'm getting really discouraged. We waited for so long to get the noa 2 only to get stuck at the consulate. I emailed the consulate and the websites helpdesk on Friday. The consulate knows how the process works and the help desk how to run the website but neither know what the other one does. I'm stuck.

Got an email back from the consulate saying 'ma'am please follow the steps on the website'. I cant even express how frustrated I got with that response. Do you really think i would be contacting you day in and day out for over a week now if it was as simple as that? Ffs people...

It’s very crazy! I’m sorry for this frustration. It seems sudden surprises always come up in this very long process and you can’t perdict them. I guess it’s why it’s encouraged over and over again not to plan.....but that’s hard to not do also. 😏 hopefully Monday you will find success and a way to fix this craziness. We are here hoping for you too!!
