Just reminding OP that there is a third option: Your fiancé applies for and enters the US with a tourist visa in order to marry you and then returns to her country to initiate the CR1 process. Check out thread below:

During AOS, there is a spot on the form to include information about the parents, including where they are living. That might be what you are thinking about. Either way, it's smart to just get your petition in order and go through the process. No one, except the immigration officer, can help, even if they work for the government.

We would like to think everyone is not above the process but thats a tall order. There is corruption at every level.

Yes my love is happy and so is mother. They look forward to the ceremony. 

She told me that in her mothers eyes it solidifies the relationship. This is good stuff.
