My daughter had her interview at the Manila consulate last February. I have done mine electronically in Montreal , so the officer return most of my original civil documents like birth , marriage and police certificate. When its my daughter turn for interview. I have to send our "only" original marriage certificate ( me and my husband married in the US). The Philippine embassy took all the originals as one of the requirements.  She is now in the US last 2 weeks ago and still waiting for the greencard in the mail. The point of entry is in Seattle, so the officer in Seattle took the yellow packet.  Is there any chance that we can retrieved our original marriage certificate? Please any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Doubt it.   You would have needed to have a copy of the marriage certificate at the interview, then request the return of the original, leaving them with the copy.

I am curious why you sent the original?   Did you have your marriage certificate recorded with the county?   They will issue certified copies.

I wasn't around during the interview , it was sister (guardian),  who is with my daughter during the interview. They took all  the originals . I have a certified true copy from the county and also sent them the originals as a reference. I told my sister to asked the originals after the interview. but they took it and assured my  sister that they're going to sent it back . so I think , I would rather email and find out what happens , for it has been 4 months now and we got nothing on the mail.
