Manila indian embassy police clearance

We are trying to get all of our paperwork together for our interview, but the indian embassy website has less than a paragraph on the police clearance. Has anyone had to get theirs here before? It says it takes 45 days to process, and that seems a bit long to me. Any first-hand experience would be great, thanks. We are clear on what we need to bring for the police certificate, just wondering if there was a way to expedite it, or if it takes up to 45 days or at least 45 days. We were hoping to get the interview done this month, since I'm pregnant and can't fly after september. The longer it takes to get the visa, the longer it takes to plan our exit with my husbands work and arranging travel once we reach our POA. Thanks for any input.
