Removal of Conditions with a Minor/Dependent

My 11 year old daughter was on my i-751 application (removal of conditions) because she entered the US at the same time as I did.  She received her conditional green card, just like I did.  When I applied for the conditions to be removed, she received an extension for 1 year, just like I did.  Now I have been approved and have received my 10 year green card, however she has not.  I called USCIS and they told me she doesn't get one!  They were pretty unhelpful (shocker).  I said how does she travel in/out of the country with no valid documentation.  All the said that was Customs issue not theirs!  I mean - what?!?!   Has this happened to anyone else?  Does anyone else have a dependent with/without a 10 year green card?   I am getting really worried, even though she her status is a LPR, because she has to travel back to the UK to see her biological father.

He seems to be just be a pissed off rep. You might want to call back again and hope you get in touch with a nice person. Since they are processed differently, may be your daughtet’s GC is still in process.

Did you both get conditional GC within 90 days of each other originally?

In the mean time she can travel with the extension letter if needed or probably get an i551 stamp from an infopass.

Yes, we both got the conditional GC and she entered at the same time as me (so within 90 days) and we have the same date on our CR1.  Her extension expires soon and I have made an info pass appointment but I really don't want to have to keep getting that stamp for her!  Surely at some point she needs her own new GC.  Yeah, I think I will call back.  The first person I spoke to didn't have an answer and put me through to a level 2 person who just said she doesn't get it as she travels off mine...which makes so sense!  Plus her last name is different to mine.

I agree with the poster above. Sounds like you caught a bad apple with the last person you called. I don't know how hard I would push this seeing as you have a citizenship application pending. Your daughter might have her citizenship before you ever receive a new green card. Meanwhile, as the poster above states, she can receive i-551 stamp in her current passport to allow her to travel and return home.

that is true re the citizenship before the new GC.   Yes, I am going to keep the infopass appointment as well just in case.  Just frustrating and unsettling!
