Wanting the president to be presidential and not offend world leaders and other people is not being overly sensitive. Trump has said many lies, he's a very good liar and many of his lies are captured on video and you can clearly see the contradictions. He's also not a good businessman and he has avoided paying his workers. He has said a lot of nonsense such as denying climate change and claiming that vaccines are harmful, he didn't know that he's the president of the Virgin Islands (I think expecting the president to know all the states and territories he governs is not too much). He's also a fraud - Trump University was a scam. 

 

His words resonate with people because he doesn't have a consistent position and changes it based on who he's talking to, quite often touching on people's legitimate concerns. Also, he unites people by finding a common enemy - whether that's illegal immigrants or corporations doing outsourcing, and then offering simple solutions to complex problems. Of course, the fact that he uses outsourcing, too, doesn't matter for his base because he's very charismatic and a good liar and people just believe him and trust him - it's like a personality cult.

My bad, I meant to show a tweet where he makes himself look bad without any help from any media. I don't follow all of the stupid and offensive things he says. 

 

But yeah, the media doesn't need to make anything up to make him look bad. They just need to quote him.

I think Americans need to relax and enjoy life more often instead of always needing to be in the 24 hour news cycle and arguing about politics all the damn time.  Get away from it guys!  They want to divide the country and right here it is proof that it is working.  

 

Turn off the TV,Radio and social media and go have fun doing something with your lives.  Other than that this topic is about the N400 not anyones political beliefs.

Good to read everyone opinions about politics and the president in specific. In my opinion, our moral and ethical values count. It does not matter who is the president. We live in a world where we believe we have so much power to communicate and engage but at the same time, our societies are more isolated than ever.

When my friends wife did hers 2.5 years ago when Obama was in it took 14 months......It has nothing to do with what president is in office for LEGAL Immigration and to become a US Citizen. It has to do with the work load of each individual office of CIS. Stop watching the news, they haven't told an unbiased story in nearly 50 years and gets worse each day.

I filed my application on April 14th, did my biometrics in May, my interview was two Fridays ago, and my naturalization oath is set for August 7th. I'm in Vermont so I'm guessing it's less busy than most though.

We've been waiting since August. It's a 14 month wait here. Been pending I751 since August 2016. 23 months and counting.

I agree...we applied mid-May of this year for a 3 year N-400. On the DHS Website it says 7 months wait time for the New York City office. It keeps changing every time I sign on. They are playing games...

One way to look at all of this: Whether or not they approve the applications within 3 or 6 or 16 or 30 months, the outcome for them is the same. They STILL have an agency, they still have jobs...Government does not have outcomes that they are held to unlike private industry

Wow, that's a great and true statement!  I remember when I was a kid newscasters were not supposed to put their spin on anything.  Oh the good old days when  news was news. Now it's all bs to sell advertising and to advance the extreme liberal left-wing agenda.  Too bad.  Let's make America great again!
