We received a RFE and sent the requested document in. I know they received it because a signature was obtained. For those who received a RFE, how long after submission did the USCIS acknowledge receipt of your document?  How many days did it take on average?

Thanks in advance

It depends. A receipt of documents could take a few days or weeks. We got an RFE when we were doing my AOS a few years ago and it took around 1 month to get a response (in our case was an approval).

Thanks a lot for this information. In our case, they have not even acknowledged receipt of the document and it got to them a month ago. I don't know if I should call but I only have the generic customer service number.

When we did my AOS, if I remember well all I got from them (after one month) was a notice to inform that my AOS was approved. Did not get a notice to inform me they got the documents I sent in response of RFE. But I knew they got it because of the usps tracking system.

Try to call until you reach someone or make an InfoPass appointment at your local uscis office to make sure its in their system they have your docs. Maybe they can give you an update. That will give you peace of mind at least. Most of the times all this process take a lot of time and it drives us nuts.

The silence and delay is painful. I will call them within the week and make sure it is in their system.  Thank you.

I also received RFIE in March 2018, i responded  and my case was update  as follow

On April 9, 2018, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC189073xxxx. Our National Benefits Center office will begin working on your case again.

As at today, no update from USCIS. I called them this morning and i was told nothing is wrong with my case.

A friend informed me that his case was never updated, however, after a month of responding to their RIFE, his green card was approved without an interview.

YES THIS IS BECOMING LIKE A LOTTERY.

Thank you. I just got a similar message to yours today.  It took a month after they physically received it for them to update the case online.  Hopefully we will all smile at the end of it all.
