Oh, yea! I just remembered my lawyer saying that. I guess I would just have to wait before doing so. Thank you!

You should be absolutely fine to travel with AP as that's what it's for. As long as you don't get into any trouble (criminal) while you're out of the country. You'll possibly get taken into secondary processing but that happens for most people.

I am leaving for the first time on my AP this sunday, coming back middle of December. I know I'll get asked questions in secondary but I'm not worried, I haven't done anything wrong (applied for it all legally etc).

I didn't apply for an AP because of my lawyer's advice. Kinda regretting it now... I'm from Houston and I heard it's gonna take a WHILE before I could get my Green Card. 😕

You can still apply now! All you need to do is include the copy of your I-485 NOA1 so that you don't have to pay the fee :) That's if you want to. It'll take about 4 months roughly, but there's hope :)

Congratulations! I have no hope of getting my GC any time soon but I'm hoping EAD comes through while I'm visiting family back home (I already have AP).

At least no more USCIS for a while for you! :D

Hubby's aos interview was today! I'm not gonna repost the whole review I did. It can be looked up on the site, but we were approved. His GC should be here in 2-3weeks...sooner if we are lucky😃 Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!

Did you get that RFIE before you got your AP/EAD? I also sent a IRS 4868 with my tax papers, and i am wondering if i will get a RFIE because of that?

Yes, the RFIE's for my wife & step-daughter both came, and they don't have AP/EAD yet. We just sent the RFIE response on Saturday, with copies of my 2017 tax returns.

Same to you! Hoping for good news.

Been dieting a lot, down almost 40 pounds since September. Going to be a challenge tomorrow!

Affording to timelines on VJ, our date is being processed. Taking that with a grain of salt.

For anyone that has done there Green Card interview, what did you bring to your interview?

We of course submitted our I-693/vaccination records and I-864 Affidavit of Support with our AOS package, did you bring these to your interview even though they've already been submitted?

and what does it mean to bring 'Documents to establish eligibility for Lawful Pernament Resident status'?

TIA :)

Wow. Congrats on the weight loss!

Just a reminder that you won't gain weight that fast if you do end up indulging tomorrow! The weight that's gonna show up on the scale is most likely just gonna be water weight and you'll be back to your original weight after a few days 🙂

Thank you both! I'm taking my food scale with me tomorrow to try and somewhat enjoy myself AND hold myself accountable. I'm eating about 1400 calories a day. Yum.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
