Hello Everyone I have important question,

on EAD form we checked the question box if we want them to provide the SSN for me. But now I realized I need to get SSN to apply for drivers license and ID.

Can I go to SSN office to get a SSN even though I checked the box on the form or will it cause confusion on my EAD?

If you already checked it, it will just cause confusion if you go to the SS office.  However, it wouldn't hurt to go to SSA and tell them your situation.  Maybe they can void the request through USCIS.

If you go to SSN and request a new one, it's going to cause massive confusion for your file and that is something you don't want- having 2 numbers in the system for the same person.
Typically once you check that box, you HAVE to wait till EAD to move on with drivers' licenses, etc.

However, you can try and go to your local SSN and see what they say?
I highly doubt they can void an application pending with USCIS tho

Call USCIS. I talked yesterday with an agent and he said if I don't hear anything in 10 days call again. You are kinda out of that 10 days period....

Hello July filers!

We are compiling our AOS at the moment but stuck on Part 2. Application Type or Filing Category. If you are the principal applicant, provide the following information: #3 receipt number, #4 priority date.......is this our NOA2 receipt number? If so, it does not have priority number, correct?

What about questions 5.a - 9?

Thank you for anyone's assistance. I'm sure I'll be back for more questions. Have a great day!

Got my e-notification on the 16th, so that means another couple weeks! :) At least the waiting is not as bad as waiting for the I-129f!

Awesome! We got our text on the 18th and the email on the 19th for the AOS EAD and AP - it’s just frustrating that they can’t work or take classes and the EAD takes 3-5 months 😩. In hind sight I wish we did the CR1 considering the wait times these days. Oh well just glad to inch our way through the next phase 😕

My wife really doesn't mind not being able to work:P she needed a break anyway! She takes time to adjust meet new people and basically just keep the house garden in tip top shape. :)
