Hey guys it’s day 110 for me since we submitted AOS/EAD (no AP coz I don’t need it anyways). Just wondering if RFE affects EAD timeline? I got an RFE on 8/10/2018 (sent the same tax forms from our original application; our lawyer said they just might’ve overlooked it), and had it quickly resolved on 9/04/2018. Just wondering if this pushes back my application?  My EAD still says “Case Received” though my AOS is “Ready to Schedule.” Sorry if this is a silly question, just this whole process makes us so anxious and I’m glad we have VJ as a support group. Thanks. 😊

i got an RFE right at the start because apparently i didn't give them my birth certificate when I 100% did lol. But this was before my biometrics or anything. It might slow it down a little as they have to wait for your reply, but apart from that.. I don't think so. I'm on 104 days now, people are getting them around 120-125 days, hopefully ours come soon!

I need some advice folks! My PD is July 27th and waiting on EAD. I got an offer for an internship which starts in Jan first week (I am in grad school right now). So my question is, should I contact out senator for expedite or wait to get the EAD? Has anyone successfully expedited on the basis of an internship letter? What is the process?

Just bumping this.... any advice will be appreciated! Day 109 now

Lol my RFE was also asking for a document that I definitely did submit,  so my lawyer submitted the same thing again and it got cleared. Thought it was just me.  😂😂 Thanks, and good luck to us!

We are on almost the same timeline. Maybe wait til the end of the month..? If it’s still pending by December, will talking to your internship company about your situation help..?

Thank you! I ended up calling the congressman's office and they were so helpful! Now, the congressman's office is dealing with USCIS, I am hoping for the best! 😊

I keep looking through the Case Tracker app to see if they're near my number yet and I found someone who was completed on 11/9 that's after my number! I am getting very bored. What's everyone doing to keep their minds off the wait?

Binge watch a show on Netflix. Go to the gym. Socialize. Then come back home, think about the looooong wait again & frustrate myself. Rinse & repeat.

Reading, movies, biking,  free museums.

Lately I started to create a US style resume/CV

Lay on the bed and cry.  Lol just kidding. It’s getting very cold here in our part of the country so most of the things I do are indoors. I go to the library and borrow books of my interest. I find free indoor events on Facebook or Eventbrite in our city and check them out, like yoga classes, Christmas markets, or food festivals. I’ve also started weight training and meal planning so my body will be summer-ready since winter in our state is like six months long and I don’t want to gain winter weight.  😂😂😂😂 Stay strong, dear friends!
