filed aos july 2 Chicago lockbox, received, money orders not cashed yet.

Did you submit a form G-1145 for electronic communication?
Did you get your NOA e-mail yet?

I ask because if you got those, then I wouldn't worry about how quickly they cash the money order. I used a personal check and that was cashed the same day I got my NOA2 e-mail (last night)

Also- I don't know if money orders take a little longer than personal checks.

But I wouldn't worry yet until around 30 days.
Since sometimes, for some cases, it does take them up to 30 days before that magical NOA1 is sent out

Some people in June are still waiting for even e-notifications. I'm not sure but the theory is everyone was on vacation on the week of the 4th or something.

Yea- USCIS has a mind of it's own
I suggest no worry/panic until about 30 days AFTER they received ur package.
hence why it's good to have priority mail so you know exactly the day it was delivered to the facility.

In the state of Texas you have to have your NOA1 before you can go get your license. That's why we were so jazzed about it. Otherwise, having the case # by email was totally fine with me!

Hi, Favvy! Let me link you to what we found. Have you already gone to get your S/O's SSN? If not, you MUST do that first.

You only need I-864 for affidavit to support form I-485

Follow the link that Bianca89 sent you.  This girl simplifies it for you and gives you a perfect example of how to submit your AOS paperwork.  I sent it exactly how she did.

Hello Everyone I have important question,

on EAD form we checked the question box if we want them to provide the SSN for me. But now I realized I need to get SSN to apply for drivers license and ID.

Can I go to SSN office to get a SSN even though I checked the box on the form or will it cause confusion on my EAD?

You don’t need to check the box if you are going to the SSN Office. It’s probably faster getting your SSN card at the office and you need to get it done before your

 I-94 expires.
