@emekus94 let's move to Charlotte, NC  lol

I was thinking of that :))) But probably would take some time for them to transfer the case, process the address change and get state ID :D :D

That's actually not correct
As long as your case is still at NBC and has not been transferred to the local office, moving to another city is a smart idea. Your case gets processed in that new city's timeline
So if it's your turn for interviews, they just ask NBC for it and that's that. There's isn't really a delay in moving a case.
This only goes wrong if your case is already moved to a local office. Getting a case from one local office to another in a pain in the ***

You don't need a state ID for your GC. Come with your passport.
In an ideal world-- this works well if you can like take 3 months off your current job- move to a fast city now and do an address change.
Wait out your interview and bam! Done! move on down to your current city. lol

but am sure none of us can just up and waltz out the current city. Ahh

Hello everyone,

i received a notice written in red ink "ACTION COMPLETED APPROVED FOR FILING" please what does this mean. Has anyone ever received this?

Thanks

Let's be a bit more specific.

First- complete your timeline on VJ. It would be a lot easier if you have a timeline so we all know what it is you're talking about.
To do that- on your profile, on the top right under your name, click "My timeline" and go on ahead to fill in that information.

Second- What do you mean by "Received a notice?" and in regards to what?
Is this for AOS? Is this a paper notice? Or an email?
And all it says was "Action completed approved for filing?"

Paper notices usually have more info...

Not sure. I mean if you move to a different state your husband/wife needs to change his/her DL etc, I was not talking about me going to the AOS interview... I think if would be that easy a lot of people would have done it already. Btw how you know if the case is still at NBC or at a local office?

And I think with all these fast offices- once you get GC, your EAD gets dropped. So there's even less people for NBC to process
I was originally thinking xmas for EAD but with the way things have moved since last week, am taking a chance at thanksgiving!!! lol
Of course my estimates shall revise if I see them stall over May 2018 folks so yea

Let's all be positive. the end is near!!!!!!!!!!! 😊

Well, I am really hoping on November for EAD. we have a Mexico trip on December 😭😭😭🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hey guys! I’m new to this thread but I’ve been following along for a while and I wanted to give you all an update! We went for fingerprints on 8/13/18 in Cincinnati, OH and I just got an update today that they are ready to schedule the interview. We should be getting the letter next week with the interview date. I wanted to let you all know so that you all can know how quick they’re going for a change. Check my timeline for deets.

Don't quote me on this since I have yet to do it myself
But the consensus around here is that when you call the USCIS line, the automated machine tells you the status on your case, including if it has been sent to local office/still at NBC

My field office is in California, USCIS website’s processing times says 7.5 months up to 15.5 months.

i checked Charlotte NC says 7.5 to 19 months.

we all know that one week or two after interview GC will be mailed.

so it means that USCIS website’s processing time is not really reliable? I hope so 🙏🏼 Lol could be shorter.

Yes, it will be shorter. I never believe USCIS website's processing time. I guess the only reason they put that processing time because they don't want people keep calling them regarding their case
