Same experience in DMV. I’m not gonna be able to get an ID and a drivers license until I get my SSN from my EAD.

hows yours?

In Missouri they would give you an ID with the validity of the I-94 for $11. (Been there, decided that it doesn't make sense) With that ID I could go to the DMV and get a dirver's license (been there, the lady suggested in the first place to get an ID then apply for a driver's license), but unfortunately would be valid as long as my I-94..... So to get a DL with one year of validity or longer I need a work permit or green card.... Maybe you are in the same situation

Thank you but what I wanted to know is what is next

After biometric you wait for " the fingerprints review to be completed"

And after " the interview appointment to be scheduled"

What is next for what?
U said your husband's I-94 is expiring and that you have biometrics coming up. And am saying an expired I-94 means nothing. That was simply your 90 day window to get married.
You already filed for AOS- which is good. U use your AOS NOA1 for proof of legal residence until you get GC

After Biometrics, wait for an interview letter

Lol
Please keep rooting for me.
But I think that 7-14 months is for employment based EAD
The family ones are like a ridiculous 17-23 months or something that's simply madness

But I mean we don't know
It's like cases in Houston enter a black hole. People after April 2017 haven't heard a peep so...
Am sitting here like

My field office is in California, USCIS website’s processing times says 7.5 months up to 15.5 months.

i checked Charlotte NC says 7.5 to 19 months.

we all know that one week or two after interview GC will be mailed.

so it means that USCIS website’s processing time is not really reliable? I hope so 🙏🏼 Lol could be shorter.

I was hoping for this too!!!

California is not a field office
There are like 15 offices in California. Which one are you referring to?

And yes-- what USCIS posts really is garbage. Don't rely on that
U're better off checking the timelines here on VJ for a better idea of what's happening. And even that is not the best

After 8 hours at the DMV they finally approved for his ID. We have his SSN so that kind of helped too.

@Ana Maria mentioned that they got their's with an expiration date same as the I-94. However, John's I-94 is expired. So I have no idea what it will look like. They said we should receive in the mail in 7-10 days. Haven't gotten it yet, so we'll see.

Thx for the quick response. Sounds good! Will that letter come from my local USCIS office? How long does it "usually" (nothing in this process is usual haha) take to get the biometric letter in the mail?

No the letters will not come from the uscis local office ( you case will be send to your local office when your fingerprints review is completed, all your doc reviewed ,no RfE good to be schedule for an interview ). My bio letter took 4-5days after I received my 3 NoA1. So it depends 1 To 3 weeks maybe more each case is different.

Rakaf, can you update your timeline for us?
It's really important that we have accurate timelines so we can all help each other out know what USCIS is up to
Thanks!
