Well, the waiting game officially starts for me (petitioner) and my hubby (beneficiary). May this part of everyone's journey be smooth!!!

AOS/EAD/AP packet mailed- 7/25/18

Received at Chicago lock box- 7/27/18

NOA1- 7/27/18

Received NOA 1 hard copy in mail- 8/6/18

We received our biometrics appt today in the mail!!! It is possible that it arrived yesterday, because we didn't check the mail yesterday.

Biometrics- 8/20/18 at 8 AM

We are so ready! In addition to having my hubby with me, I like the way this process is going because it seems that things are moving along faster. I know we are in for a long wait after biometrics, but it is a welcome change from when we first filed I-129.

Ahh
I am like 95% sure that when you respond to an RFE, you cannot just submit things that were not part of the original application.
But @geowrian

Correct me if am wrong but @batcher cannot submit I-765 now AFTER he originally submitted his I-485 correct?

Sorry If i missed the original conversation...the thread is 38 pages and I have not been following. :P

You cannot submit the I-765 with an RFE response.

You can submit the I-765 after an I-485, though. Just include the I-485's receipt notice (NOA1) in lieu of payment. It won't process as quickly as if one had concurrently filed the I-765 and I-485, but it should take just about as long once it is filed (i.e. ~4-6 months currently).

@batcher
There's the answer. U cannot submit your I-765 with your RFE
But you can certainly do the I-765 now- just attach the NOA1 for I-485

Update Got text and email 8/13  that they accepted July 30 all 3 packages. thats how long it took to get an answer. The email says they follow up with an letter with 7 to 10 business days.

That's been the norm
About 2 weeks. Though we did see a few people wait 3+ weeks. It happens.
As long as you had tracking on it that showed delivered, it was delivered.

Hello everyone.

Package sent July 12

Received July 16

NOA for 2 of them ( I-485 and I-765 accepted, I-139 rejected with no reason) August 1st

Biometrics appointment  - August 20

So I was rejected for Advance Parole with no reason. I got a rejection notice saying that the payment was incomplete or has not been provided. Funny, cuz we all know that for EAD an AP we need no additional payment if we submit the applications with I-485. I called and they said there must have been a mistake and I need to resubmit the application with the copy of  I-485 notice of action.

Anyway, I am happy that I have at lease some movement in my case. Wish you all good luck.

Total fees has nothing to do with it I assume since the I-765 was accepted- It's the same fee $1225 with I-765 and/or I-131.

This unfortunately seems to be happening quite a bit lately.
Since you now have NOA1 with I-485, you're just gonna have to submit it again with that I-485 and the fee will be waived. Unfortunately, you lost your queue in line for the AP since your NOA date will be from the recent filling.
So if travelling soon is important to you, I suggest you send that packet to them ASAP so you don't lose more time.

You are right! I paid the whole amount of fee 1225$. I've heard that this can happen sometimes, but it is really frustrating that I need to waste my time because of their mistake. I'm going to submit again tomorrow. But I guess I won't get the combo card for both EAD and AP. That's unfortunate. I am trying to be optimistic cuz at least I have my I-485 and I-765 processed. :) Wish you all good luck guys. Thanks for the reply.
