So for my personal situation (with the name change) the first link shows my reference number and that no one has been assigned to process the change yet.  During my k1 days, people swore the by the second link and said that it updated faster than the first.  I started with first link during this odyssey and then learned about second one during it.  I also learned about the app during the process. To me the app is pretty consistent with the second link.  Hope that helps!

It does!
Which means it's probably wise to have the first (detailed info on case) and the app for general approval and things.

U are awesome girl

Thank you!

An update that might be useful for some: We received an RFE today which is admittedly sad but we knew it was coming. (I was about $100 short of  the  minimum because I graduated from college last  May and got a full-time job in July so my tax return wasn't enough; our lawyer suggested that we wait try to send  it with pay stubs and if they don't accept, have my mother sponsor).

However, we are kind of excited because that means that they are touching cases. We received our NOA1 less than 2 weeks ago and they are already touching. I also live in the  slowest state in the US so probably faster for others too.

We did the same thing on the 785. You can get it changed over the phone so I’m told. We’re going to try it today now that we have a number to reference it to.

So they actually received our applications despite the intercept and I received my three receipt numbers overnight!

This morning I got through quite easily to a really nice rep on the phone and discussed the two issues. I discussed the i765 first - good news, you will just have to send them a letter requesting the update. I suggest you call and get the information for your specific case but it seemed pretty straightforward!

Good luck!

And here goes my paranoid ### to the websites to check and the post office.  thanks!

Don't be paranoid, doesn't worth it. I was so calm and just accepting that the bio letter won't come before my trip so need to make some arrangements for somebody to pick it up and mail it to us.... was not expecting an RFE

When y'all say you checked- is this physically online or the app?
Also- IF you checked online, does it show an RFE also on the app?

I don't have an online account- just the app. Trying to make sure am seeing what everyone else is seeing. Thanks!

Got an e-mail from the new website... dhs.gov etc with We have taken an action on your case title.

When I checked online both websites says that they issued an RFE.

@lorie L.   @batcher  @emekus94

Sometimes I feel like I am in a telenovela LOL

So after getting all worked up on the RFE and checked all my papers I assume the RFE will be my birth certificate or the financial supporting docs....

BUT wait for it

and here is the twist...

Went to the gym this morning and run some errands, when I got back there was a letter from USCIS in the mailbox, thought daaammm that RFE was fast :)

Turns out it was my bio app letter for 8/13. The postal stamp on it was 7/31.  Since I won't be in Saint Louis on that date, I printed out my flight itinerary and I went to the ASC office. There was one person already doing his pics and fingerprint (open space, u can see and hear the people inside doing the bio from the waiting area), otherwise the whole waiting area was empty. The gentleman said he will be right here with me in a few minutes. Waited a couple of minutes, he finished with the other person, then he called me up, told him that I won't be in the city, wanted to show him the flight itinerary but he said it's fine and we can do it now. It was not more than 10 minutes, depending on how was you can fill out the form they give you and then quick picture, some typing, a lot of fingerprinting (each finger on it's own + thumbs and the usual 4 fingers in a group) he stamped and wrote some numbers on the letter I received and I was done...

So now I have my bio done, just need to find out what is the RFE about. The saga continues. Called the support line, they couldn't help me but suggested to book an infopass with my local field office, because they could tell me what's up... So Monday morning I have an info pass. Stay tuned for more :)))))

Yeah I remember :) And you were right :) You had a good educated guess I assume.... or.... are you an Oracle? :D I would like to know when my EAD will be approved :D (I know the answer unfortunately, probably around January), because I can't get a drivers license and presumably I can't drive more than 90 days on a foreign license....

Did you get an international drivers license before you left?  My husband did and i called Florida DMV and they said it was fine.  I am not sure  if that is okay where you are.

No, didn’t even know that there was a such license to be honest. Thanks for the info.
