I have created a workout schedule (that I have not yet started to follow due to a few weeks of bronchitis), and I have started to bring my computer to cafés instead of just sitting at home, because it makes me more productive. I'm doing a lot of job searching, writing, reading, trying to find activities or courses to join. I have already had one family member over to visit and this week, another one will come. So I am definitely keeping busy 😃

But anything that makes you get out of bed and get ready for a normal day is to recommend. I have had days when I'm in my pyjama all day and while that is nice sometimes, I prefer at least pretending I have something to get ready for each day haha.

I feel you! I try to stay out of the house as much as I can. I enrolled myself at a martial arts academy and it keeps me focused and challenged. Living in Miami, I also thought it was a good idea to start a Spanish course. I was living in Milan before moving and life is completely different!

Adjustment of status and life, haha!

Good Morning from Maine :) I sent all the paperwork (AOS(EAD/AP) on July 20th, it was received on the 23rd in Chicago. Haven't heard anything back yet. No e-notifications or anything.

Which USCIS number would I have to dial to ask if they received all the documents?

Also, what did you use as an identification via phone? Your A-Number? Is your (new) last name enough?

Just received my paper NOA1  with a notice date of July 20, 2018, and received date of July 17, 2018.  For purposes of VJ timeline and processing times, which date do we use?  This was always so confusing for me even during K1 days

I would say it is wayy too early to call them
I've seen that folks calling LESS than 2 weeks after their application is received are told that their application is not in the system.

it's only been a week. Give them at least till mid week to see if you get a notification

Lol
U always killing me girl
For sake of timelines, use your receipt date. That's the date USCIS recognizes your case in their list.
The notice date is I believe the date they actually came to mail you the documents (which honestly, we don't care about )

Still no news! We mailed 7/13 it was received 7/16. Our check hasn't been cashed or anything.

I'm itching for something! The actual wait doesn't start until we get NOA and this extra waiting is killing me!

Seems to be a long wait for NOA1
There was a bunch in  the first week of July that barely got something this past week
SO I say wait 3-4 weeks before panicking. Certainly at least till end of week
