There's been many questions about it on the forum
Search on VJ and u will see people talking about it.

Bottom line:

1) It doesn't take effect until September 2018 so it doesn't impact you

2) It really is meant to stop people that just apply for things to keep a place in line and THEN get an RFE to complete their application later.

I mean you see people all the time for ex: Apply for Fiance I-129F but leave out the statement of intent to marry or like proof of citizenship. Or worse, apply for AOS and leave out the marriage certificate! Things that are REQUIRED to apply.
So this is a way to have people be more accountable and perhaps speed up this process!

Yea this is def odd
Typically, you see the cash withdrawn from your account the day you get the notifications
I'll be SHOCKED if your account is not withdrawn by tomorrow.

because keep in mind, they don't really cash the check direct per se. they do an EFTs- so they really want to do that FIRST (so the check doesn't bounce) before they give you your NOA1s...
Cuz if the check bounces, they send the packet back for insufficient funds.
This is why I think it takes a while to get the NOAs.
They gotta go through all that payment process first

I received three of the below emails.  Each with different receipt numbers.  My bank still hasn't posted a withdrawal.  My guess is that they will do the EFT at National Benefits Center?  Now I am worried that they haven't cashed my check!!!!  Ugh

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number MSC**********. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

You MAY NOT present this notice as evidence that you have been granted any immigration status or benefit. Further, this notice does NOT constitute evidence that your case remains pending with USCIS. My husband and I are planning to move to another state as I'm starting a new career and he's looking for a place with  better job prospects. Do you think it's best if we move before the EAD arrives or after the EAD arrives? I don't want to slow down the process too much but we are living in the city with literally the slowest AOS Processing Office in the country.

hahaha yes I am already in US and doing AOS right now.

I think it's all depend on yourself how you manage your time and how to keep yourself busy. I know it's not easy but frankly to say I've been so busy with all of stuff everyday xD
