Hi, We've filed an AOS on July 9, 2018. After 8 months from filing we've finally received a letter last weekend that says they've set a schedule for our interview on April 10th. But today we received another letter saying that the interview has been canceled. Does anybody had the same situation before? I know someone who lives the same state as me and their interview schedule has been canceled as well. We have no idea whats going on.

Chicago filer here. Just got my interview letter for 4/5/19. We submitted our application July 2018. I was expecting it would be later, so I’ve slowed down with the picture taking lol but we have a lot, even before we started dating. I’m both excited and nervous, wish us luck! 😊😊😊

Check with your local office
Sometimes, offices undergo changes, sometimes weather delays things, etc

The cancellation letter should be very detailed on IF they will reschedule, when, and If you need to do anything else
I've seen cancellations due to storms and other things where the public office had to be closed. That might be it(?)

Oh Thank you! That really makes sense, the snowstorms in IA has been so bad that schools and offices have to be closed. I really appreciate your reply that just made me feel at ease

Hi all! Been so busy with life finally getting to move on that I haven’t been able to update my timeline, or thank all you lovely people, and to wish all of you guys still waiting good luck!

my husband and I had our interview last February 26th. Funny thing, my husband answered the first question wrong which made us nervous, but at the same time relaxed enough to answer everything else with a smile and a giggle. We were very happy, and answered everything correctly. Our IO was pleasant but the wrong answer raised some flags (maybe yellow ones, not red) so she ended up grilling me about past visits, and who was at our wedding and if our families knew we existed to each other.

after about a 30 minute interview, she congratulated us and said she believed in our relationship. My green card came a week later. She informed us of the 90days before the expiration of the green card, so I guess I’ll be watching and trying to help out anyone who isn’t through to the end yet.

hang in there guys!

good luck to us for the interview tomorrow😤

Don't worry! You will be fine! Enjoy! Look at it like you can talk about your relationship and tell all the exciting stories and some bureaucracy/paperwork in between

So had our interview today with like a 40 minutes delay.

The lady was nice and she was happy that we had an application well put together...

Bad news she was missing half of our paperwork including my medical, divorce paperwork and so on.

She needs to request those and if something is still missing we will get an RFE....

Probably it will take a few more weeks to hear something

Hope others had a better experience for their interviews today!

Yeah :))

I am not worried. She mentioned that we have an unusual relationship so hope that wont rase more issues :)))

I just dont get it how they couldnt request everything upfront.... I was prepared for the interview, she wasn't I guess :))

ahh and she gave back a bunch of photocopies we submitted with EAP and AP. She said we don't need to submit three sets of copies for everything :)) Maybe I overdid that :))))
