How strange is that! Why would they put your fathers name in, haha this process just gets even more baffling! 🤣

If you have a popular name, USCIS puts the c/co father's name to differentiate applicants. It's actually a way to make sure there's no issues with cases down the road.

That just means u have a popular name. So make sure the fathers name is accurate.

Apparently it’s in case someone with the same name as you shows up for the interview the same day... they can verify the correct person by using the fathers name. It’s strange I know! Well fingers crossed it’s your interview date.

Thank you both for the explanation, I never would have thought about it :)

I am so excited. I'm asking our flatmate to open the letter just in case the interview date is before we get back to the US.

Thank you 😊

They normally give approximately 35 days notice for your interview so you should be ok 👍

I am nit really sure but when I renewed mine last week. They required it from me. When i called.

Probably a dumb question, but do you need to have a Social Security Number to renew it?

So I e-mailed my lawyer as soon as I got my EAD card & she said I'm gonna have to go to the Social Security office in order to get my SSN. Does anybody know what I need to bring for that?

And would I need a SSN to renew my driver's license?

The officer seemed to be training another officer therefore she did everything by the book and was very thorough. Happy we got approved though.

I just went to the office & all they needed was to see my EAD & birth certificate. Will be getting my Social Security card in about 2 weeks 🙂
