Adminstrative processing update question

Good Evening all,

like most people my fiance interview went well...

but he forgot his original birth certificate he only had the copy.....

his interview was June 22cd (Friday). He sent the original birth certificate through DHL on the following Monday (June 25) it was signed for on (June 26TH) by the embassy....

my confusion is that online at CEAC he has 2 "sections" for his case (SEE PICTURES) - one says "Administrative processing" the other says "READY"......

the "AP" one has not been updated since his interview and after we sent the birth certificate...

I realize it can be a lengthy wait for status to change depending on the embassy ..........

but the one that reads READY was "updated" June 28th but still says "READY".... its just a bit confusing I guess

....my QUESTION is does the update to the "READY" mean anything or should I just focus on the "AP" status to change when they have finished updating his case!!!

It normally goes in AP, then READY, and after that ISSUED. My husband's interview was on a Monday and it was in AP on that Monday & Tuesday, READY on Wednesday, ISSUED on Thursday, and picked up his passport and visa on Friday. So this is normal...You should see ISSUED any day now since he sent the original birth certificate that was requested back to the embassy. Congrats!!

yes you are right!!

but your approval was without issue or without extra documents needed ,

i have noticed it always goes in to AP when its a straight approval like yours (congrats) the it changes to issued..... but we were put into AP due to more documents being needed......we sent in the document but i got confused as to why only one of the 2 sections showed an update "02" of june 28th and the other one "01" still says AP and has not been update since june 22cd.....

what im trying to find out is if the update for june 28th on the "02" kng....that says ready means anything or should i just wait until the first one changes!!!

but thank you for your reply!

Good Day, i had my interview on june 22 as well and my case is in administrative processing. They asked me to submit my original police record along with my passport. The courier agent only took my passport and the original police record tho, she didnt take the last page of the courier in receipt. Would this affect the receipt of my documents by the embassy as my status still says administrative processing?

Any help would be appreciated.

hello junior,

they gave my fiance 2 pages ...one with one bar code and another with 2 bar codes

the dhl courier took both of them and included with package for the embassy

I assume if it its not in there it might take longer to be connected to your case

did it arrive? did you get confirmation of delivery to the embassy?

as far as changing or updating the status ...it could take a week up to 60 days to change....i just try to be patient.....thats all you can do....they wont even allow inquiries until after 60 days ...i hate it!
