Does my petitioner need to file change of address as well?

Hi guys! It’s that time again. I’m preparing for my Removal of Conditions process (I still have one month to prepare). But I was reading some posts and got a little bit confused? My husband and I moved to a new residence last year and I filed for Change of Address online (for me, the beneficiary) a few months ago. However, I read on here my petitioner still needs to mail a Change of Address? Is it true?

 

Also, is there a way to check if USCIS got my new address? I did get a confirmation online right after filing Change of Address but I wanted to make sure they have it in their system. I don’t want to have problems in the future. Thank you!

He should file I-865. Even joint sponsors are supposed to file this form when moving. AFAIK this form can't be filed online (unlike address change for you, the GC holder), only via mail.

The sponsor has to notify the USCIS in case of an address change. It is the law. The sponsor will file form I-865 within 10 days. Having said that many applicants filed late without any issue. It is important to mail the form to avoid problems in the future.
