I am a US citizen and my wife is an Indian citizen. I got married last year in India and lived with my wife for a few months after marriage (I am on a multi entry tourist visa to India), returned to the US, then came back have been in India for the last few months again (since late Jan of this year). Now I believe my physical address is still my US residence address, based on a previous question .. so is the answer to this still "Have Never Lived Together" ? Do I need to add any explanatory notes in part 9 about my visits and that we stayed together when I was visiting?

I don't think you can say "Have never lived together".  I would just write a short explanation that you temporarily lived with her in India both times while on a tourist visa.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Of course he can say that.  It wouldn't be wrong to do so.  However, when "visits" are more than a couple of months, I don't see any reason not to indicate that time as "living together".  The vast majority of CR1 petitioners have never lived with their spouse abroad.  They've only visited.  It's just a question, not a requirement.

My post had nothing to do with the "majority of CR-1 petitioners".  It was directed at the OP's situation only. Being together for several months IS living together for those periods in my opinion.  In addition, the OP stated " I got married last year in India and lived with my wife for a few months after marriage ".

and answering "never lived together" would be a stretch, imo.

I understand the OP's circumstance and also understand that not only the OP will read the answer. My replies are for "the reader" not just the OP.

Yes I did independently verify with a laywer as well, it seems that it will be beneficial to put the time together as it goes towards proving a bona fide relationship.

I was a bit confused as to how my "Physical Address" in my "address history" remains my US address only (no need to put my India address as per various responses) and yet I can put the India address in the "Time together" answer but my understanding is that if "Physical Address" is interpreted as Permanent Address, then I am within rights to put only my US address there since my India address is a temporary address. Does that sound accurate?

In other words, "Physical Address" really means "Permanent Address" (address where you are resident and not staying temporarily) - is that an accurate understanding?

If you are going to mail the petition while you are still in India, I would put your US address as your mailing address and your physical address as your address in India.  They do not need to be the same.  Just answer no to whether they are the same.
