k1 What to use for “proof of payment” of K1 fee?

Hi everyone,

 

My interview will be at the London embassy (hopefully soonish) and I see that we must take “proof of payment” of visa application fee. 

 

I have the slip for the money order but this doesn’t state who it was paid to, is there something else that we should have received that confirmed payment?

 

Surely the application would have been rejected if we hadn’t included the correct payment? 

 

Are there more fees fees to pay at the interview? I’ve seen posts about paying fees etc and I’m not sure what is what. 

 

Any insight would be great, thank you.

You haven't applied for or paid for a visa yet. So far you have only paid a petition fee. 

 

When the case gets to London, the beneficiary (UK fiancé) will apply for a visa, gather documents, have a medical exam, then book an interview date online.  Part of the online booking is paying the visa fee and scheduling courier delivery return of the passport/visa.  You will get confirmations of the appointment and payment to print and take to the interview.

K1 fiancé basic fees LONDON

$535 Fiancé Petition (USCIS)

£45 police certificate (ACRO)

£300 medical (Knightsbridge) pay at the appointment

$265 visa fee (Dept of State/Embassy) pay online 

$30 or $0 (Courier) home delivery or pick up at depot

-Enter USA and marry-

$1225 AOS/EAD/AP (USCIS)

That damned medical fee is pricey. 

 

It’ll all be worth it in the end.

FYI since I only just found this out, medical is now £330!
