Yes, arriving at 4am is a waste of time and lots of extra waiting.   If they arrive after SLEC has been open for maybe an hour they will walk right in,  and still be done with their first day with ease.

With the change in how they test children the "good days" are not so cut and dry anymore.   Friday is a bad day as the 2nd day isn't until Monday .. which is OK if you live in metro Manila.

I find all this getting there at 4 am and falling in line to be a waste of time

Go there like on Wednesday and show up at 1 pm, it should only take a hour or two to complete Day One Medical......

Wasted time entirely depends on our definition of it. :) I was glad I did mine in the morning &  left nothing to chance so when SLEC required me additional papers for my blood transfusion record, I had enough time to call the hospital and the Doctor’s clinic (which usually closes at 4pm). If I did it in the afternoon, I wouldn’t be able to get the records on time and I would have missed my flight the next day too (which would require me to file another leave of absence from work).

Waiting wasn’t so bad, it allowed me to be present in the moment that I would have otherwise missed. “Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time” :)

I agree with an hour after SLEC has been opened. There was one applicant who arrived at 7am and was done by 11am... and there were three applicants who arrived at 2am and were done by 1pm... :)

But your not Filipino, and this is what they do..they get there early and wait in line...if it's possible to get in line early for anything they do it! lol My wife still tries to do this here.

That is the way they are conditioned

SLEC is the perfect storm for them.

1.) Long lines to wait in

2.) Some type of authority figure (Security Guard) to tell them what to do

3.) Medical Personal to obey and follow their rules

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

Thanks for posting the detailed report of your experience. My fiance will like to read this so she is not so nervous about it. I hope you can also do a report on your interview. Thank you very much.
