Just a heads up, with Western Union it can be a real hassle to get your money once it has been transferred to the US. My fiance sent me money for the wedding preparations and it was less than $5000 USD. I went to 4 different places and none of them would give me the money because they all had minimums of about 300-500 USD. I went through their customer service and they tell you to go to specific places saying their max is in the thousands and you go there and it is in fact in the hundreds. I finally found a bank that had a max of 5000 USD and was able to actually receive the money. If you are sending more than that, don't bother with Western Union. It is a nightmare to deal with, save yourself the stress and do a bank to bank wire transfer instead.
